basically dorothea and this guy were in love growing up!! and there's two songs, dorothea (the guys pov) and tis the damn season (dorothea's pov) and dorothea moved to la to pursue acting and music and stuff, and left her lover behind. and the song "dorothea" the guy is just saying he misses her but he doesn't want to be the reason she comes back and basically doesn't pursue her dream. AND RHEN. SHE COMES BACK TO THEIR TOWN FOR THE HOLIDAYS. and they have a fling again, but she doesn't want to ask him to wait for her, if HE doesn't ask her to stay. so they're both not wanting to hold each other back, but they want to be together. and the song "'tis the damn season" is so fucking sad but so good. and in my head dorothea is like "what do you want? like do you want me to stay" and he doesn't wanna make that decision for her, so she leaves and he goes after her a few days later and they make up and get together!!!!
