It was already Saturday and Iris was still sleeping.

Sunrise has already set and it is time for breakfast.

"Knock, knock" Gabriel uttered

He was planning to tell Iris to get ready, because it's his free time and he would want to treat his daughter today.

"Iris? Anak? Are you already awake?" He asked

He gently opened the door and crept inside.

As he successfully got inside, Gabriel then looked around.

He saw her daughter who was at her desk, still sleeping.

Iris wasn't able to sleep in her bed due to studying what she had learned in Tesoro.

Last night, Iris got home really late because there were a lot of customers in the store.

Indeed, she was really a hardworking student.

"Wakey, wakey" Gabriel whispered

He went towards her and took the pen that Iris was holding.

Gabriel slowly carried her daughter and placed her on the bed.

Few moments later, he then started to roam his eyes around Iris' room.

It was full of medals, certificates, and even paintings that Iris had painted before she was young.

He then also saw their old family picture, sitting at her desk.

They were all happy, especially that Marian was still there.

He starts to ponder upon what would happen if Marian didn't die.

Will their family still be the same?

Will his relationship with his daughter be much closer?

Millions of questions have passed through his mind that he starts to get teary eyed.

"U-uhm, dad?" Someone whispered

When he heard those innocent voice, he then looked at his back and saw Iris.

Gabriel took this chance to hug Iris as tight as he could.

"U-uhm dad? May problema po ba?" She surprisingly asked

It's been awhile since he did this.

"Nothing anak, by the way" Gabriel said after he unclung his arms

"Here, I prepared lemon water and vitamins for you. Drink this" He addedly offered

Gabriel might not be the best father to Iris but he still tries to be one.

It has been a while since I came back to my home country.

Indeed, I've missed a lot of things.

"Oh pre, I've made sure that once you're back again, your condo will still be the same as before. Oh ano? May bayad to ha" Philip said

I chuckled.

"Thanks phil, I'll sure pay you back" I replied

As I started to roam around, I then tried to walk towards the glass window.

Compared before, there are more buildings now.

A lot of things have changed but it was still peaceful out here.
