Days had passed, and with each passing day, Iris's bond with the Marcos family grew stronger.
Irene and Iris' professionalism had suddenly dissolved to which a new relationship between them arose.
Iris already became an integral part of their daily routines, assisting everyone, sharing stories and laughter around the dining table.
The once unfamiliar faces had now become familiar and dear to her.
"Oh, Iris! Good Morning! Ang aga mo magising ha" Imee exclaimed as she spotted Iris coming downstairs.
"Good Morning din po sainyo" Iris politely replied, not only referring to Imee but to also the other maids
"Good Morning din Iris!" The maids replied in unison
"Siya nga pala, Iris, I'm already preparing in advance for our lunch later. Do you want to help?" Imee asked
Iris nodded with enthusiasm.
"Good! If you have something on your mind... kahit ano, for food? Nauubusan na kasi ako. Puro kasi pakbet nasa isip ko" Imee said
Iris chuckled and thought for a moment.
"Hmm, how about truffle pasta po? Well if okay lang po sainyo, kahit ako na po magluto" She suggested
Iris' suggestion immediately piqued Imee's interest.
"Well of course go ahead! Truffle pasta happens to be one of Irene's favorite dishes. I'm sure she'll absolutely love it," Imee replied
After Iris heard those words, she immediately smiled. She didn't know that both of them are also sharing the same favorite pasta.
With renewed enthusiasm, Imee, accompanied by their diligent kitchen helpers, started preparing the main course for lunch.
The kitchen became a hub of activity, with pots and pans clattering, ingredients being chopped, and savory aromas wafting through the air.
Imee engaged in conversation with Iris, who was also equally communicative and eager to contribute.
"Alam mo, Iris. I just happen to remember your resumé, ang ama po pala ay si Gabriel Fontanilla?" Imee asked
"Ah, yes po" She flatly replied
Iris skillfully multitasked, engaging in a conversation with Imee while also assisting the maids in preparing a variety of breakfast dishes.
"Really? So your family already owns a company? Why didn't you become an OJT there?" Imee suddenly asked
"Dahil din po sa school namin kaya wala din po kami nagawa" Iris politely replied
Imee simply acknowledged her words, even though she was concealing her surprise.
"Anyways, you know what Iris, ito pala ang pinaka-paborito kong bonding ng pamangkin ko" Imee exclaimed, trying to change their topic
Her words sparked Iris's curiosity as she continued to assist with the meal preparation.
"Ohh, sino po sa kanila? Si Kuya Vinny po ba?" Iris immediately asked
Imee chuckled and shook her head.
"Well may interes si Vinny sa pagluluto pero hindi siya interely. Nasa Ilocos Sur kasi sila lumaki while kami naman sa Ilocos Norte" Imee exclaimed
"But, I was actually referring to Irene's daughter. Si Celestine" She continued
