Steven and I walk into SHIELD. We walk up to Fury's office as we barge in.

"You just can't stop yourself from lying, can you?" Steve says as he walks up to Fury.

"I didn't lie. Agent Romanoff had a different mission than yours." Fury says.

"Which you didn't feel obligated to share." Steve says angrily.

"Calm your fucking ass Steven." I sigh as he glares.

"I'm not obliged to do anything." Fury says.

"Those hostages could have died, Nick." Steve says making me laugh.

"Oohh now you care about people dying." I say sarcastically as Fury turns around.

"I sent the greatest soldier in history and Venom to make sure it didn't happen." Fury says as I smile.

"Soldiers trust each other. That's what makes it an army. Not a bunch of guys running around shooting guns." Steve says as Fury stands up.

"Last time I trusted someone, I lost an eye." Nick says angrily.

"Don't trust no whores motherfuckersss!" I smile as I get a look from Steve making me shut up as I sit down somewhere.

"Look, I don't want you doing anything you weren't comfortable with. Agent Romanoff is comfortable with everything." Fury says and I shrug. I mean, the man isn't wrong but still.

"A little heads up would've been nice Nicky poo." I smile.

"Nicky p-" Fury says as Steve cuts him off.

"I can't lead a mission when the people I'm leading have missions of their own." Steve says.

"It's called compartmentalization. Nobody spills the secrets, because nobody knows them all." Fury says.

"Except you." I frown.

"You're wrong about me. I do share. I'm nice like that." Fury says making me laugh.

"Come on Nicky poo, don't go soft on me." I say with a smile as he rolls his eyes

"Oh shut up." Well damn.

-

"Insight bay." Fury says as we walk into this elevator.

"Captain Rogers and Venom do not have clearance for project Insight." Some typa AI says.

"Tf is project Insight?" I mumble confused.

"Director override. Fury, Nicholas J."

"Confirmed." The voice says as the elevator doors close.

"You know they used to play music." Steve says as we ride the elevator.

"Yeah. My grandfather operated one of these things for 40 years. Granddad worked in a nice building. Got good tips." Fury says.

"Sad how you don't really get tips with the jobs we do, although it pays well." I shrug as Steve cracks a smile.

"Life ain't about money Brock." Steve says.

"Kinda is tho." I shoot back.

"Anyway. He'd walk home every night, a roll of ones stuffed in his lunch bag. He'd say "hi", people would say hi back. Time went on, the neighborhood got rougher. He'd say "hi", they'd say "keep on steppin'." Fury says as he tells his story.

"Damn what them people so rude for?" I wonder as Fury shrugs.

Some people gotta chill out sometimes and sit their asses down cause they doing too much honestly.
