Wahid looked furious, but he didn't say anything. He pulled out his phone and called Imaan's dad. While he was on the phone, Imaan sat on the bed, feeling lost and alone, holding her tears.

After a few minutes, Wahid hung up the phone. "He's on his way," he said. "But we need to talk about this, Imaan, we need to fix this,"

Imaan shook her head. "I don't know if I want to fix things," she said. "You hurt me, Wahid. And you've done it too many times."

"I know," Wahid said, his voice soft. "And I'm sorry. I promise I'll do better." Imaan looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears. "I don't know if I believe you," she said, her heart still aching from the pain she experienced before,

"I'll prove it to you," Wahid said, thinking about the trip he planned, he was sure that would bring her back to normal,

"Just give me another chance."

Imaan sighed. "I don't know," she said. "I need some time to think," Wahid nodded. "Okay," he said grimly although he wanted her to be like usual.

After few minutes the nurse arrived and applied ointment on her leg a Wahid observed as he knew that he had to so the same for her at home, after the nurse left, Imaan quickly covered her leg from his view, feeling uncomfortable from his gaze,

Just then, Imaan's dad arrived. Wahid stepped back, giving them the  space. Imaan's dad looked at her and asked, "How's your leg?"

"It's alright, Father, can I come home with your for a while?" Imaan asked pleadingly,

Tahir narrowed his eyes with disappointment and asked, "Why, what happened?"

Imaan took a deep breath. "Wahid said some hurtful things to me," she continued, "And I need some time away from him"

Her dad looked at Wahid, his eyes narrowing. "What did you say to her?" he demanded.

Wahid looked uncomfortable. "I was just angry," he said. "I didn't mean it."

Tahir shook his head. "That's not an excuse," he said. "Words hurt, Wahid, and you need to be careful about what you say." Wahid nodded. "I know," he said. "And I'm sorry."

"Are you allowed to leave now?" Tahir asked looking at the time, "I have a meeting in an hour,

"Yes, Pa" Imaan replied fondly knowing that she can depend on her father,

"Come on, let's leave" Tahir urged and signalled Wahid to help her,

Imaan smiled weakly. "Thanks, Dad," she said and reluctantly accepted Wahid's help,

As they walked back to the car, Imaan looked at Wahid. He looked so lost and alone. Part of her wanted to stay with him and tell him she forgave him. But the other part of her couldn't forget the hurtful things he had said.

While driving home, Tahir adviced Imaan, he talked about how fights are common in marriages and how she should deal with situations such as this, but Imaan couldn't shake the feeling of loneliness and betrayal she felt, She looked out the window, lost in thought.

Being distracted Imaan didn't notice her father driving in the wrong direction,

When they arrived home, Wahid was waiting for them outside, at that moment Imaan realised her father took her to Wahid's home and not his,

Feeling hurt and betrayed Imaan looked at her father questioningly,

"A married daughter is like spilled water, Imaan. it's not good to return to your father's house whenever you argue, this is your home now"

Tahir said heartlessly as he urged her to leave the car,

Imaan looked shocked and felt betrayed, how can her own father do this to her?

'Has he ever loved me?' she thought distraught with sad feelings,

After exiting the car, Imaan's father quickly reversed and went back, as Imaan watched bitterly,

Wahid and Imaan went inside, but there was an awkward tension in the air.

Wahid tried to make small talk, but Imaan barely spoke to him. After a few minutes of this, Wahid lost his patience. "What's going on, Imaan?" he asked. "Why won't you talk to me?"

Imaan glared at him. "You hurt me, Wahid," she said. "And you didn't even seem to care, how did you even convince my father to bring me here?"

Rubbing his eyebrows Wahid replied tiredly, "I didn't convince him, I asked him to take you with him too but he said it's not right and refused"

Imaan sobbed listening to him, she knew he didn't lie, but she didn't understand why her own father hates her, if she had known before the getting married means cutting off her relationship with her family, she would have stayed unmarried all her life!

"So, no one wanted me!" Imaan concluded and ran into the bathroom and closed the door on Wahid's face,

"Ugh."

Just when Wahid was about to knock on the door, his phone ringed,

It was his secretary, Wahid sighed and realised that he had abruptly left the meeting room and didn't bother to apologise, it was an important meeting too,

"Hello"

"Sir, I've postponed the meeting to 5°clock , the investors are anxious to sign the deal so they've agreed to postpone"

"Good job, make sure to send an apologetic email to them,"

"Already did sir,"

"Good" Wahid replied and cut the call,

At least this much was managed and it didn't lead to a big problem,

But realising something Wahid quickly called her again,

"Hey, the trip to Hawaii, make it wheelchair accessible, the hotels and everything,"

"Okay sir, is the Madam alright?"

"If she's alright why would I asked for a wheelchair? And yeah arrange an electric wheelchair too"

"Okay sir" the secretary replied as she rolled her eyes on the other side,
