a new neighbour (welcome home)

(i decided to add my welcome home oc to this story becuase why not also the drawing of cate and eddie is made by me, it doesnt have anything to do with this story, becuase i made it for a tiktok video about cate her backstory if you want to check that out my tiktok is @dsaf_Jane also if you see any text like this its me/the creator speaking to  you/the reader)

you walk around the forrest for multiple hours before you decide to go back to the neigborhood, you walk back to the neigborhood but then you hear a noise comming from the bushes behind you. you turn around to see whats behind you but you see nothing so you approach the bushes.

in the bushes you find a small caterpillar girl, she looks alot like howdy but she is about 4 ft tall and she has longer hair and there are some more differences that you can see, you look at the little caterpillar girl she has 8 limbs just like howdy. you notice a name tag it reads 'cate pillar' ¨hello cate¨you say. the little caterpillar girl looks at you,and she hisses softly 

( yes caterpillars can hiss )

howdy walks into the forrest and when he sees the little caterpillar girl he runs to her and he picks her up ¨cate dont ever walk away from the neigbourhood without telling me again, you made me worried ¨ howdy says to cate, you look at howdy and cate ¨ howdy?  who is that ¨ you ask .howdy looks at you ¨ this is my daugter cate¨ howdy answers ¨ you have a child? ¨ you ask ,howdy nods ¨ who is her mom? ¨ you ask. howdy looks at you ¨ cate doesnt have a mom ¨ he replies ¨ then how did you get her? ¨ you ask ¨ eddie found her in a tree while he was doing his mail round and then he brought her to me becuase it isnt safe for a little caterpillar to be outside all on their own ¨ howdy answers. you dont really understand what howdy means so you decide to ask him ¨what do you mean its unsave for her to be all alone outside?¨ , howdy looks at you ¨ well she is small and young, and it isnt save for her to climb into trees becuase she could fall out of them and badly injure herself  ¨ howdy answers

you and howdy walk back to the neigborhood, howdy takes cate with him to howdy's place and he leaves you alone infront of the post office.
