When I Fade

Chapter 6

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Shawn asked.

His words replayed through my mind over and over again. Holy shit. Shawn Mendes just asked me to be his girlfriend. I soon realized I never answered.

"Yes." I finally answer.

He loosens up a little bit. I guess he was probably worried that I would say no. But I mean why would I? He's like a God! I was interrupted by my thoughts when Shawn asked if I wanted something to eat.

"Nah. I'm not really hungry." I tell Shawn. I was still shocked that he even asked me to be his girlfriend. Out of every girl in the world he chose me. I blush thinking about it. Shawn apparently noticed because I caught him smirking. Even though we just met, I think I'm falling hard for him.

After Shawn made himself some food we went upstairs to go to bed. I went to my closet to change into some shorts. When I came out from my closet Shawn was already in my bed.

"Do you mind that I'm in your bed?" He said.

"No not at all." I said with a reassuring smile.

I sat on the bed for a little on my phone before I went to sleep. I noticed Shawn was eyeballing something. My scars. Shit, just my luck. First my pills and now this, what else?

"Why?" He asked. He looked hurt and sorry.

After awhile of sitting trying to hold back the tears I told him the story of my dad and my old school. I didn't want to, I felt like he would treat me way different than he would've before he found out. But Shawn understood my pain and told me that he would always be there for me, which made me happy. After about an hour of talking there was a knock on the door. Who in the world would be at my house at 11 o'clock?

Shawn and I went downstairs exchanging looks. I could tell he was curious as to who would be at my door at this time of day. I opened the door to see a police officer at my door.

"Miss Woods?" The police officer said politely.

"That's me." I said. He could tell I was wondering what happened.

"I am sorry to inform you that your mother, Carolyn Woods was killed in a car accident." He said with sympathy.

When he said that I fell to my knees and started to cry. How could this happen? What did I do to deserve this? Shawn came by my side and picked me up. I looked at him to see that he was about to cry. Shawn wrapped put me on the couch and wrapped his arms around me. He tried to calm me down by saying "Everything was going to be okay" but I know for a fact it wasn't.

OKAYYYYY so um yeah I said I would probably update so here you go. I know it's a little short but a lot went on in this chapter. I'm working on chapter 7 right now so don't worry. I'll probably put it up tonight or tomorrow. Okay byeeee. Oh and don't forger to comment and stuff mkay bye.
