chapter 08: having doubts

Sami huffed in annoyance, settling the remote on the nightstand. He picked up his phone to check the time, noting it was close to 4:00 a.m. and he still hadn't gotten to sleep. There was something that had been plaguing him for the past few weeks, and it was causing him to lose sleep, to miss meals and shut out everyone.

Even his wonderful girlfriend of nearly a year, Suki Ocean, whom he affectionately called 'lady love'. He observed the tiny 5'4", plum haired and violet eyed beauty who lay next to him and he couldn't help but to smile. God, she was gorgeous. Everything about her just screamed positivity. Even in the darkest of days, Suki would hop along with the brightest and gummiest of smiles and push him along.

Lately, though. He didn't know what he was feeling. Suki was billed as your typical girl-next-door type. Respectful, bright and cheerful with just a hint of feisty that lets you know she isn't to be pushed around. The way she carried herself, it was like she had a veil of innocence over her. Then, there's Sami.

Sami was a lot rougher than Suki was. He was aggressive, he savored the pain from his childhood and used it as a reason to kick ass left and right through the indies before finally making it to NXT. Still, it felt very hollow, because he hasn't been doing much of anything since he got there. He switched gimmicks twice, and only wrestled dark matches while Suki was quickly climbing to the top of the ranks as a powerful female wrestler.

Was it jealousy? Sami shook his head, running his fingers through his short, black and red hair. That couldn't be it, he and Suki were two totally different wrestlers. Perhaps it was just the curse of the indies, as a lot of them called it. You could only be in developmental for so long until you begin to get discouraged and think you've made a mistake. He exhaled, shaking his head again. Nope, still not it.

He tossed a glance at the sleeping woman next to him before looking up, catching his reflection in a mirror across the room. Sami frowned, breaking the trance he was in. That was what it was. He didn't deserve Suki Ocean. He got up, tossing the blanket back, allowing him to get up and out of bed. He rummaged through the closet, stripping out of the basketball shorts and wife beater he usually slept in and putting on a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt.

Sami flickered on the lights essentially for a second to find his shoes, when he heard a light groan come from the bed.

"Sam...? Where are you going?" said Suki, her voice clouded by sleep.

Sami groaned softly, hoping he'd be able to slip out without having to deal with her questions. "I...I'm leaving, Aileen."

Suki blinked a couple of times to gain her vision, sitting up. He rarely ever called her by her real name, she knew this was serious. "Leaving? It's 4 in the morning, where are you going?"

"Suki, I don't deserve you. Okay? I mean, look at you!" Sami finally turned to face her. "You're gorgeous. A-and you're so kind and happy, everyone loves you! Hell, you have a smile and a laugh that could make the evilest of creatures on this earth grin. I'm just...I'm only this gross, dirty dude from Ohio. Your dad hated me the first time I met him and honestly, I can't blame him."

Suki watched Sami as he paced around the room, ranting. She climbed out of bed, adjusting the small shorts she wore before trotting over to her obviously emotional boyfriend. "Sam...sweetheart, you could not be more wrong." She stood proudly in front of him, placing her small hands on his broad shoulders.

"If I felt you didn't deserve me, why would I have dated you? What, did you think I'd date you for sympathy perhaps?" Suki laughed humorlessly. "Sam Johnston, I don't give a damn what everyone else says about you, or us. My dad has no place to talk, I was in the same place you were. He hated it when I was in CZW, drawing blood nightly almost. You know what? He got over it. If there are some insecurities you have, I will gladly help you get over them. I hate to sound like a cheeseball, but I love you. For everything from your weird faces, to your stubby legs, to your scruffy beard that always scratches me when you kiss me."

Suki smiled softly, grabbing Sami's face and reaching up on her tip toes to place a soft, yet passionate kiss to his lips.

"Thank you, lady love."

"Don't touch me!" Seth yelled out as a few stagehands attempted to calm down the two-toned champion. He was absolutely furious. Not only did Dean Ambrose steal his title, Ambrose was detaining the title from him.

He was the champion, damn it, not Ambrose. He felt like he needed to prove himself to everybody. Roman calling Triple H and Stephanie his 'mom and dad' really seemed to get underneath his skin. He could beat Ambrose without The Authority. Seth was the future of the WWE, and damn it, he was going to show everybody.

During his rampage, he turned around into a body, knocking it over. "Watch where the hell you're going!!" he screamed out.

The brunette woman scrambled backwards when Seth yelled at her. "Oh, I-I'm s-sorry! So sorry!" A foreign accented voice seemed to bless Seth's ears for the second she did speak. His face softened, and he stuck out a hand to help her up. The woman seemed hesitant at first, but she took his large, calloused hand and stood, brushing down the pleated A-line skirt she was wearing.

"It's...It's quite alright. I'm sorry I yelled at you." Seth said, running his free hand through his wet hair. "I'm Seth. Are you new here?"

The woman nodded her head. "A-Ah, y-yes. I'm new in NXT. I'm Amelia, but I wrestle as Amy Sparkles." Seth couldn't help but to smile at the woman.

Amelia was quite the beauty, honestly. Her accent was extremely attractive as well. Upon meeting Seth's eyes, Amelia began to blush, rubbing the nape of her neck as she stared down at her black flats. Seth opened his mouth to ask her for her number, until another woman with long black hair and bangs walked up. "Amelia, I told you not to go wandering around, you're gonna get lost."

Amelia seemed surprised to hear the voice of the mystery woman. "Oh! Sorry, I was hungry and you were taking forever." The woman sighed, rolling her eyes before looking over at Seth. "Look who it is, your temper tantrum finished?" she smirked softly.

Seth gave her an incredulous look, feeling his anger rising again. "And who exactly are you, you Elvira wannabe?"

The woman smirked at him, taking Amelia's hand before giving Seth a pat on the shoulder. "Queen Reina's the name. You're gonna wanna remember it," She looked him up and down before laughing. "Kid."

can you guys tell I'm running out of ideas for chapter titles >:

okay so here's the deal!

I intended on this being, you know, not just about Suki/Sami and the rising 'something' with Amelia and Seth. I was typing this while watching RAW, and I kind of got a little carried away and before I knew it, I was at, like, 1300 words. ; n ;

I'm trying to keep these chapters around 1400 words or so, I don't want you guys reading too long of a chapter ;;;

Anyways! Next chapter will definitely be some Skye/Dean, I promise ya. <3 I introduced two new characters, also. Why? Well, they're a couple of OC's I had developing way back when I first started writing this story.

I debated on bringing them in or not, but I think you guys may grow to like the interactions between Amelia and 'Queen Reina'. Hell, I enjoy even writing about them, they're lovely. <3

Make sure to comment, guys!!!  Comments are what keep me going, not to say I don't appreciate the votes, but I love feedback! I wanna make sure I'm creating good content for you guys.
