My college struggle as an African-Nigerian

√ Chapter 8 √

"Good morning ma'am" I greeted Mrs Chika the english language teacher who was standing at the front of the class looking through her book to start the morning lesson

"good morning Bianca ,

see this children you people will be sleeping off see the time you are coming to school "

she said looking really upset as she told me to sit down ,

I struggled to enter my seat ,I was sitting with Rahila at the front row while Erica and Habbie were at our back ,

Roy was at the third row ,second seat everyone changes desk and seat when ever they like .

Soon after we started copying notes

my seat was closed to the wall so I hardly see from there most people on my row complain about that ,

so the teachers would let us switch seat but after each lessons everyone go back to their original seat .

Today I was really concentrating on my note I wasn't making noise that's because I told Rahila first to finish copying their note so everyone was focusing ,

Soon a boy walked into the class he was new ,

I wasn't even paying attention to him I was just busy writing so I could first Rahila

then Mrs Chika gave him my seat immediately the whole class starts to shout that's Bianca's seat then I turn only to see him well seated and balancing himself well

"howfar na my sit be that ooo "

(hey that's my seat )

I said in a whisper trying to smile a little bit I was actually waiting for a response but non came from him ,

after class I found out he has eye defect I don't know what it's call but from observation he put his face on the book to see I felt bad hmmm he was using glasses but it wasn't enough for his sight.

"hello I'm Bianca Williams "

I said smiling but no response then Rahila looked at me surprised

"wait what's your name okay you don't really talk "

Says Rahila in a mischievous way ,hmmmm okay i'm getting pissed off already .

Rahila's POV

"Ishaya Abdullahi " that's the new boy name I checked the file he was holding , Bianca and I decided to help him out by copying his notes ,I think he needs double glass lense ,hmmm our health education teacher told him to go to a blind school OMG it kind thing of touching can you imagine it's just his lense they need to doubled I think .

we have copied close to four notes for ishaya now but he still doesn't want to talk to us or answer any of our questions .

"Don't you think he can't hear "

says Bianca who was ready to start another gossip she was really mad about ishaya been on her seat including her favorite space which is the window side ,

hahaha I think she likes that space because when students are fighting she will be the first to notice it,

moreover High Camp royal Academy was an upstairs ,

staff room upstairs , library upstairs gosh just the canteen that was downstairs

"Bianca come on the only thing here is that he can't see properly "

I said smiling sweetly I think i'm pissing her off.

It was ( the four cliques ) lunch time we were on our way to the canteen when Erica turned back saying

"Rahila I think that new boy is following us "

" hmmmmm why won't he follow us when Rahila sold out my space "

says Bianca while making faces at me

" Awwn can we all just agree to help him out " I said with my puppy eyes

finally my friends agreed to help ishaya ,but one thing was that how come he didn't mingle with other people just us I mean my cliques ,

Roy wasn't part though because he was telling Bianca the other day that ishaya is very funny and that he has this funny look .

everyone were looking all serious today expect for Bianca and I , Habbie and Erica were answering Q&A past questions while Roy left his seat to make noise in our seat ,he brought gist and there is this thing with Bianca she likes hearing all those gist and she had started making me number one in noise makers ,

we were talking about cute guys while Roy was telling us about some girls he had meet during the holidays then Bianca whispered saying

" hmmmm how about Habbie don't you like her anymore "

"I like her ma'am that's why I said it was during the holidays I met those girl " says Roy in a whisper too

We were still talking when our form mistress Mrs Joyce came into the class to take the attendance

"Bianca and Rahila can you see what the rest are doing you are here talking like parrot even, you Roy will you go back to your seat "

says Mrs Joyce then she pulled out ears Making us yell in pains .

one thing about our form mistress is that she likes clean environment and serious student

" who have this seat "? Mrs Joyce asked the class

"The owner of the seat is not in school today ma'am" they class response back .

" Bianca come and sit here and read your book the fact you and Rahila are intelligent doesn't mean you won't read and Roy if I catches you talking with this two when is not time for lunch you will hear from me "

says Mrs Joyce looking all serious and ready to deal with us .

when she left everyone started laughing at us because of the way she pulled out ears ,

I won't lie it was really painful .
