Hyeri felt a little stupid.
She had let go of such an amazing opportunity so easily, just because of her pettiness and ego. She regretted leaving Soonyoung's party so abruptly, without even getting to ask that absolutely gorgeous man his name or number.
She should've at least taken the cherry pie before leaving.
Hyeri sighed regretfully, before starting to remove the makeup she had spent so much time applying. Soonyoung's message was still open on her phone. She didn't reply to the text, because she wanted him to know that she was mad at him.
Though, no matter how much Hyeri tried, she couldn't really ignore her best friend for longer than two days. They were too intertwined in each others' lives, a part of each other, for better or worse.
After changing into comfortable clothes, Hyeri settled inside her blanket, phone in her hand. She was staring at Soonyoung's apologetic texts, when her phone buzzed with a text from an unknown number.
Her eyebrows furrowed. She never got texts from unknown numbers, especially not at this time of the night. She was chewing on her bottom lip, contemplating whether to open the text or not, when her phone buzzed with another text from the same number.
Her curiosity got the better of her and she opened the text.

She wasn't complaining though. Her heart was beating madly inside her ribs as she stared at the texts. Seungcheol. . . what a beautiful name. She quickly saved his number and texted him back.
