"What do they think they're doing? Keeping a creature like that locked up within a school!" Ron's exasperated words reverberated as he stormed into the Gryffindor Common Room, Y/N in tow, despite her visible reluctance.

Hermione, never one to hold back, fired back with equal vigor, her voice dripping with disdain. "Do you ever actually use your eyes?" she spat. "Didn't you take a moment to observe what it was standing on?" Her sneer was palpable.

Ron's retort was swift. "I wasn't gawking at its feet! I was kind of preoccupied with its multiple heads," he grumbled, ascending the steps of the Gryffindor Tower, determined to make his way to the dormitories. "Or maybe you didn't notice. There were three of them!" he exclaimed, a hint of awe and apprehension mingling in his voice.

"It was standing on a trapdoor, Ron," Hermione countered, her tone resolute. "That means its presence wasn't coincidental. It's guarding something," she declared, her eyes flashing with the intensity of her deduction.

"Guarding something?" Y/N's skeptical voice interjected.

Hermione's gaze shifted to include Y/N. "Exactly. And now, if you three don't mind, I'm going to bed before either of you get another 'clever' idea to get us killed," her annoyance was palpable, a trace of deeper concern underlying her words. "Or worse... expelled!" she mumbled, her footsteps echoing as she turned on her heels.

"Why did you even drag me along? I'm a Ravenclaw!" Y/N's exasperation joined the fray.

"Would you rather we were caught by Filch? He was standing right at the entrance to the Ravenclaw Tower," Hermione's retort was swift and pragmatic. "Just sleep on the couch, it's actually rather comfortable," she offered Y/N an alternative with a touch of resignation.

Y/N's scoff conveyed her disagreement, and with a parting glance, she brushed past Ron and Harry, her shoulders grazing theirs. The slight physical contact sent the two boys momentarily off balance, prompting them to recover their footing with a hint of amusement and shared understanding.

"They need to sort out their priorities."

Y/N's determined stride cut through the sun-dappled courtyard, the warm rays painting the surroundings with an almost surreal glow. Amid this picturesque scene, her eyes locked onto a familiar figure perched among the trees, and her frustration ignited like a storm within her. The tempestuous energy propelled her forward with purpose, her steps sharp and resolute as she marched towards the source of her annoyance.

"Malfoy!" she spat his name with a mixture of exasperation and anger, her tone slicing through the air like a whip crack. The boy, once sporting a smug grin, quickly morphed his expression into one of apprehension upon seeing her approach.

The distance between them closed rapidly, a mere few feet separating her from Draco as her fury radiated palpably. Her voice crackled with intensity as she addressed him, her words laced with undisguised disdain.
