Backstory: Charles is a Heartland native who discovered a prophecy describing the arrival of Astral and the Numbers through an old legend passed down in his family at 13.

Trivia: He originally sought out Astral due to the part he would play in the prophecy he discovered. He once managed to get a Draw with Kite in a Duel over information on the nature of the Numbers. He is descended from a Clan of Psychics who were responsible for the creation of many shrines and temples dedicated to the Astral World. He is in the same class as Reginald and Rio Kastle. He and Rio have been shown to have a romantic interest in each other. He first met Yuma and Astral a few days after they first Dueled Kite. His personal Number Card is Number 85: Red-Eyes Inferno Dragon and he obtained it when the Numbers were released. When they first met, and after Dueling them, he told Astral and Yuma the prophecy he discovered, adding that the fate of the world would depend on the result of the battle for the Numbers. His Spirit Partner is Red-Eyes Black Dragon. He Dueled Don Thousand with Yuma and Shark.
