I got out of Mani's car and ran into my apartment building. I unlocked the door and immediately called out for my friend. She wasn't here.

"Where are you, Dan?" I said to myself. I had been texting and calling her the whole time we were in the car with no reply back.

"Hey, look babe." Mani said. There was a note on my living room coffee table. I picked it up and that was definitely Dani's handwriting.

I'm gonna be gone soon and I just wanted to tell you how much your friendship has meant to me. I love you more than I love myself, sometimes haha. You're the best friend any girl could ask for. It's time for me to go now and what makes me the most sad is that I'm leaving behind people who love me. I would've loved to see you and Mani get married one day. You were right to fight for her.
