hi, this is laan.

exactly one year ago, i drafted wwt’s synopsis, its idea, in one sentence. today, it ended, not just in my drafts but also here, in this platform that is open for all.

wwt started as uncertainty, given its title that literally asks what was that? until, little by little, it started to make sense, most importantly, and to where and to whom it matters the most, to me.

i cannot thank you all enough for giving this a try and your time, and above all, i cannot be more grateful for people in loving sierra and milo. it will always make my heart soft knowing that these two, and their people, are loved and cherished after i was all afraid in letting them in the open.

after all the mantra that i kept on saying that i just wanted to write, even offline, all of my 2021 to 2022 works are all posted and published publicly. i also started posting artworks. thank you for giving me a chance and your time. it means so much. i hope your stay in my profiles and works make your time and efforts worthy.

i would also like to take this chance to thank and mention people that i adore and made my general stay in the online space comfortable and equally happy.

eve (yveseria), the first ever user in my channnels, first message i received in twt, i am always, always, always proud of you. erina (afterglowdrives), first messages and first approach, for the messages and time-to-time kumustahans. kate (vgnvll), one of the first tweets of appreciation i’ve openly received, thank you. shine (shinearchives), for the enormous appreciation, first multiple votes and comments, thank you. kachi (springreiu), for giving me so many firsts too—first twitter account named after my character, first artworks, first edits, first sticker pack; your time and efforts are most appreciated, treasured, valued. st. sei (haseishi) and mana (manasulat), these two, for keeping me. mish adi (nostarlgic), for loving milo, thank you for everything, i hope we get to know more each other, you're a great writer and i am proud of you. a (hiyachi_the_reader), for unconditionally loving milo and sierra the most, i cried when i first saw your display name and tweets. user LuiWa1, we don’t really interact, but you were one of the first notifs that i have been receiving when i came back as biglaan_.

to my irl aden, for being the sole reason why i first started writing epistolaries, for always giving me a reason to continue, for always leaving words and notifications of appreciation and love. i know you would not see this but this is for you.

for the people that surround me in these platforms, telegram, twitter, wattpad, that had given me enough reason/s to keep on going, to just continue.

to you, who made it here, thank you so much. malala.

for making wiwiti possibly reach 10,000 reads, on the same day it'll be concluded, today. maraming, maraming, salamat.

sometimes, most of the times, we might wonder about things and just ask ourselves what was that? but maybe, maybe, all along, we knew the answers. if not, it could be that the answers have always been there, only it needed us to look for it and find it.

but maybe that's the thing; there will always be answers. and reasons. and a purpose.

so, what was that? it has always been you—to love, to protect, to be taken cared of, to be given a chance, to be seen and heard, to be valued. to be prioritized.

i’ll be back soon for more. because the ink in me—of societal crimes and soft journalism—they'd continue to bleed. and so, i will always be here.

best,
laan.
