Chapter 7

Y/n trudged into the dorm's shared bathroom alongside Hyewon, rubbing his eyes. He peered at his screen, sifting through the miscellaneous notifications before stuffing his phone into his pocket.

Hyewon eyed the bags underneath Y/n's eyes, raising an eyebrow, "What time did you sleep?"

"I don't know," Y/n sighed, his voice still husky from his rest. "Probably like... three hours?"

"Three?" Hyewon repeated.

Y/n nodded, "I was texting Chaewon till late last night."

Hitomi recoiled on the couch, pulling Nako's attention from her phone.

"Green..."

"You probably shouldn't do that," Hyewon warned. "Eunbi unnie won't be happy if Chaewon slacks."

Y/n hummed as he sluggishly brushed his teeth, "Won't happen again..."

"Good."

Following their morning routine, Y/n congregated at the dining table alongside Minju and Wonyoung. He prodded at his food, unconsciously listening to the girls speak amongst one another. He pulled his phone from his pocket, punching his passcode in before navigating to Chaewon's contact.

Good morning

Chaewon:
Good morning Y/n!

:Y/n
How was your sleep?

Chaewon:
I didn't get much of it ㅠㅠ
I hope Unnie doesn't yell at me today...

:Y/n
She's going to yell at me to...

Chaewon:
Does she know we text?

:Y/n
She watched us exchange contacts
I think she knows

Chaewon:
Right...

:Y/n
She didn't seem too unhappy earlier
I guess we'll find out later
She might not be too happy if you start slacking off

Chaewon:
And who's fault will that be?

:Y/n
Hehe

Chaewon:
Luckily for you, I'm almost done

:Y/n
What are you going to do after you finish then?

Chaewon:
I was thinking of going home
But I can stay a little long
We can hang out

:Y/n
Are you sure?

Chaewon:
Yeah
I'm not doing anything at home anyway

:Y/n
If you don't mind then I don't

"Ya. Hurry up, Y/n. We have to go soon," Eunbi scolded.

Y/n followed Eunbi, Hyewon, Minju, and Wonyoung into the car, basking in its silence.

Do the other two not have to come because they're done?

Do you stay home when you're finished?

Chaewon:
Yeah
We're way ahead of schedule
We don't have to come in every day

:Y/n
I'm surprised
I thought you'd have to come in every day

Chaewon:
They don't want us working to death
Especially before a comeback

Y/n assumed his assigned spot in the corner of the practice room, gleefully watching the attending members practice. His eyes danced between each member, occasionally locking with Chaewon.
