I shove my sandwich into my bag ready to head into school when Elena suddenly comes down the stairs in a hurry.

'Jeremy has got his sketch pad out' Elena announces
'You're kidding?' I gasp
'Nope but don't say word. The minute we encourage him, he'll put it away

'Psychology major. Check that!' Jenna suddenly joins us in the foyer before looking at Elena.
'You and Stefan? Update?'
'He knows how I feel and works and I know where he stands and it doesn't matter. He's leaving, moving away'
'Where is he going?' Jenna asks
'I stopped asking questions. The answers get scary' she says as the three of us walk out the door.

'Yours leaves, mine returns'
'Logan?' I ask
'He's back. I didn't let him pass the door' she says proudly
'Hope you slammed it in his face' I say
'Medium slam'
'Three strike rule, Jenna. Your not even allowed to watch the news!' Elena reminds her
'Exactly! No more Logan Scum Fell' Jenna says as we reach our cars.

Elena and I meet Bonnie in front of school and head inside together to find Caroline and Matt getting up close and personal in a doorway. They are laughing and Caroline won't stop touching his arm.

'Did I miss something?' Elena wonders aloud
'They've been hanging out' Bonnie says simply
'Kind of weird, don't you think?' Lena asks
'No' I say receiving a look from my sister in return
'She needs someone nice like him as opposed to a vampire like Damon' Bonnie says making my stomach twist at the mention of the vampire. Ever since last night I won't lie, I had felt more and more guilty about it but when I felt that way I just pushed it down by reminding myself how justified it was and that I was never going to give Damon a chance ever

'Yeah, how are you doing with all that?' Elena says bringing me out of my thoughts
'I'm a bit freaked out. Damon attacked me and I could be death right now but I'm also grateful'
'hum?' I ask
'To Stefan. He saved my life, and...Have you seen him?'
'Not since he told me he was leaving. For all I know, he's probably gone' Elena grumbles as she opens her locker
'He wouldn't leave without saying goodbye' Bonnie says trying to be optimistic.
'Yes, he will. He thinks he's protecting me: a clean break and all that'
'So what're gonna do?'
'What am I supposed to do? I've already begged him not to go. If I ask him, I'm being selfish. It is what it is'
'Maybe, it's for the best!' Bonnie says and Elena and I both give her a look
'What? Why?'

'I mean what kind of future could you have with him even if he stayed' Bonnie says and I nod

'That's fair' I say as the career night poster falls in front of us blocking our path. I turn and look at it before giving Bonnie a look

''Did you...'

'No, I swear' Bonnie says
'God..' Elena grumbles ducking under the poster and walking away from the two of us.

After class I had a double free so I decided to head to the cafe to get something to eat. The moment I get to my car though I feel a suddenly presence behind me. I roll my eyes.
'I thought you left' I say

'I was going to'

I unlock my car and open the door.

'Don't get in that car and why won't you look at me'

'Because I obviously don't want to' I say rudely before hopping in the drivers seat. Not even a second later I hear the door shut next to me and I tighten my hand on the wheel.

'Get out Damon'

'No'

I finally turn around and stare at the older Salvatore brother. I give him a dirty look and he doesn't look surprised by my treatment of him. If he were he was even more of a douche then I thought.
