Ch.10: Lilly's Lullaby

(Frollo's POV)

By the time I made it to the cottage I was completely out of breath, sweaty, and exhausted.
I was just about to knock on the door when I heard the most beautiful sound in the world.
My love was... singing. And the singing seemed to be coming from the stables.
Slowly I walked over and peeked over the sides.
There she was, Lily was sitting on the floor with Sophia laying beside her. Wanda with her head in her lap, and all the other horses nearby.
I listened as she sang.

"Little child, be not afraid
Though rain pounds harshly against the glass
Like an unwanted stranger, there is no danger
I am here tonight

Though thunder explodes and lightning flash

As she finished the song I could see tears falling from her eyes.
"Make things right you old fool. God strike you here and now for making her cry!" I screamed in my head as I approached her.
Slowly I kneeled down, slowly placed a hand on her face and wiped away her tears.
"Please don't cry" I whispered to her.
She looked up at me but turned away.
"What do you care? I'm no good remember. You don't even love me anymore."
I put both of my hands on her face and made her look me dead in the eye.
"Never say that again! I do love you..so much it hurts. I should of listened to you Lilianna, but I was in such a state of shock that..I didn't know what to do...hell I didn't even think I could have children at my age...but if it's with you I'll gladly be it's father." I said as I placed my hand on her baby bump.
She looked up at me with tears filled eyes but those eyes also held hope. Hope that I was being truthful. Hope that she could trust me. And hope that I could prove I still loved her.
"Claude.." she whispered.
"Lily" I whispered back.
Next thing I knew our lips were connected. My arms were around her waist and hers around my neck.
When we finally pulled away for air, I helped her to her feet.
"Come with me, I want to take you somewhere" I said with a smirk.
"I'll fallow you anywhere" she said as she took my hand and walked with me into the night.
