(would you look at that, we're back to silly goofy things again.)

Lethal Injection Man, a game with a style similar to one of Hangman, expect it is more fitting for creative writing high schoolers. The game was originally played in, you guessed it, creative writing. The students created it simply because Hangman was too boring, despite its rather dark themes. Lethal Injection Man is 10 times more intriguing as well as 10 times more violent.

One of the many ways Lethal Injection Man differs from normal hangman is how it is played. Instead of progressively drawing the stick figure, the stick figure is already fully drawn. The stick man is strapped down onto a bed with 6 injections hanging above him. As the game progresses, an IV is drawn to each body part after a wrong letter is guessed. The IVs start by going to each of the legs, the torso, each of the arms, and to the head. Once the IV is drawn to the head, you have ultimately killed the Lethal Injection Man.

Many more of these Hangman inspired games have been created in the creative writing classroom, much like Electric Chair Man, Guillotine Man, Firing Squad Man, Burn At The Stake Man, and of course, Woman Man. Have any of these actually been played before? Absolutely not (with the exception of Electric Chair Man). Despite this, the students assure they are fun for the whole family!

And now, here is a demonstration of the Smith family playing Lethal Injection Man!

The Smith family is your typical Nuclear family with 3 kids and a small crusty dog named Sadie (27F). The parents, Carol and Frank have raised their wonderful kids, Caroline (15F), Oscar (12M), and Millie (6F). They own a house in the wonderful town of Carson City, Nevada, and they all take daily trips to the park together. Today it was raining, so the Smith's decided to play a lovely game of Lethal Injection Man.

Frank was chosen to be the executioner, and he chose the word "Nevada", named after their wonderful home state. Frank starts the game by drawing Lethal Injection Man himself, and places 7 dashes. If you knew how to spell, then you would know that Nevada does not in fact contain 7 letters. Frank however never got an education, therefore choosing him as the executioner was not a good idea.

Millie, the first one up, guesses an "H", a horrible starting guess, and Frank laughs in her face. Millie, being only 6 years old, sobs hysterically and runs away to Utah, as every 6 year old does. While Millie runs away to Utah, Frank draws an IV going to Lethal Injection Man's leg.

Carol is up next and she guesses "A" like a sensible person would. Frank, once again, laughs in her face for being wrong, but then realizes that there is in fact an "A" in Nevada. It's too late for Frank to apologize however, because Carol already pulled out the divorce papers. Frank, being illiterate, assumes that this is another guess from Carol, and laughs again. Carol, being fed up with the whole ordeal, leaves to go to Utah with Millie, who is now being chased by the neighborhood squirrel outside. Carol also takes Caroline and Oscar.

While this is happening, Frank draws another IV because Carol guessed wrong. Sadie slowly walked up to Frank and said "Woof", which roughly translates to "you need to go back on your medication Frank". Frank then congratulates Sadie for guessing the word and writes Nevada, or should I say, "Jpaxfrd".

Lethal Injection Man, fun for the whole family!
