Y/N and Lois arrived at building, the lingering sweetness of the donuts still on their minds. Just as they approach the door, they see Clark Kent, a familiar face and a friend, standing there with a warm smile.
Lois knew Clark from Lana Lang. Clark saw them and greeted them with genuine enthusiasm. Today marked his first day as an intern, and he was eager to embark on this new chapter. As Y/N and Lois approached, Clark held the door open, a gesture of kindness that reflects his gentle and considerate nature.
"Hey, you two! Good morning," Clark greets them warmly, his eyes lighting up. "Ready for the day?"
Y/N and Lois exchange glances, returning Clark's smile. "Good morning, Clark," Lois replies, her voice filled with cheer. "We're as ready as ever. How about you? Excited for your first day as an intern?"
Clark nods, his excitement palpable. "Absolutely! It's a great opportunity, and I'm grateful for the chance to learn and grow."
Y/N nods, understanding the mixture of excitement and anticipation that Clark must be feeling. "I have no doubt you'll excel, Clark. You've got a natural talent for journalism and a heart for storytelling," they affirm, their voice filled with encouragement.
As they step inside the building together, the camaraderie between Y/N, Lois, and Clark is undeniable.
With Clark holding the door open, Y/N and Lois walked through.
Soon, as Lois and Y/N step out of the donut shop, their hands clasped together, they find themselves in the hustle and bustle of the city streets. The aroma of freshly baked treats lingers in the air, and the excitement of the freshly received donuts filled Y/N's heart. He'd gotten a pink donut, a cream filled donut, a blue donut, and a red one.
Y/N, stepped onto the street, but out of nowhere, a garbage truck driven by Leslie Willis, who seemed to be in a reckless state of mind, shot forward.
Just as Y/N's foot touches the pavement, Lois's instincts kick in. She immediately senses the impending danger and pulls Y/N back with all her strength, narrowly saving them from a collision with the oncoming truck.
Time seems to stand still as Y/N's heart races with adrenaline and relief. Their gaze locks with Lois's, their eyes wide with a mixture of shock and gratitude. They realize how close they came to disaster and are overwhelmed by the protective instinct and love Lois has shown them in that split second.
As the garbage truck speeds past them, the blaring horn fading into the distance, Lois holds Y/N tightly, their hearts pounding in unison. "Oh my god, are you okay? That truck just appeared out of nowhere!" she breathes, her voice filled with worry.
Y/N's voice trembles slightly as they reply, "I...I am now. Thank you, Lois. You saved me."
Lois squeezes them even tighter, her own voice filled with emotion. "Hey, that's what girlfriends are for. I'm just curious to know what's the drivers rush."

Meanwhile. In a warehouse in Metropolis.
As Leslie Willis storms into the warehouse, frustration radiates from her every movement. Her face contorted with anger, she pushes past Basil Karlo and Eduardo Dorrance, her gang members who stand in her path.
Basil and Eduardo exchange concerned glances, taken aback by Leslie's display of aggression. They know better than to interfere when she's in such a volatile state.
"Hey, Leslie, what's going on?" Basil calls out tentatively, his voice laced with caution.
Leslie whirls around, her eyes blazing with fury. "That slimy buyer never showed up! We were supposed to make a fortune with that tech, and now everything's falling apart!" she snaps, her voice filled with venom.
