"Yes, president Shu!" You chirmed happily in the student council's room and buried your elbow in his side playfully.
"You..." He suppressed a sigh through his teeth "We're still friends even though I'm a president, y'know?" The black haired male murmured under his breath with his thick, but angelic voice at the same time. "You--"
"I know I know! I won't get rid of you!" You crackled a laugh out of the blue. "I know it.. but you're gonna get busy so.. Ugh.." You shook your head violently to which just Shu just stared confusedly. "Nevermind... I'm gonna headhome.. we're the last in the school, so you bettergo home soon too, Shu.." Your smile went dim, you realized that, therefore you averted his gaze.
"I'm sorry.." The boy's gloomy words hit your ears and you froze.
"Don't be--"
"No. I am sorry. You're important to me and still, I chose.. to be the head of the student council.." Your heart sank. Shu cared aboutyou. Itwas the first time he expressed it through words, but it meant a lot to you. You let a small smile creep up its way to your cheeks.
"I'm gonna take these home, I have to do some paperwork too as your assistant, right?" A flat laugh was suppressed through your lips. You were ready to turn around and leave the room, when the boy's arm flew around your body, bringing you closer to him. This hug was full of love and affection. It was warm and it didn't matter in which way. It was.
"Thank you for always helping me out.." Shu mumbled, while fluttering his eyes close. When his grip started to get stronger and the hug eventually longer, you pushed him away with slight pressure.
You hummed as a response and while you left the room, Shu hesitantly went back to his tasks.
As the sun's orange light covered your face, you slowly stumbled into your home. Not caring about your parents or dinner, your shoes got kicked off your feet and you hopped on the bed. You felt your bedside vibrate relentlessly, signaling a bunch of messages. You rolled over and glanced at it. It signaled Shu's name. Your mind immediately knew it was paperwork, or the student council's problem, or an approaching festival or something stupid. You didn't open the chat, the phone landed beside you and you drifted off into a deep slumber.
