Fable POV - May 14th

I could hear the leaves crunching under my feet. The twigs whipped and scratched at my skin. The cold dirt on my soles. My chest getting heavier and heavier. Getting harder to breathe but I had to keep running. Running far away from there.

Knowing full well they were behind me, I found a tree to climb. They wouldn't see me go up it. Right? I tied the rope I had brought in case of emergencies to myself and then to the tree. I could hear the pounding of feet below me. I still could not catch my breath. They started to crowd near my tree, no doubt they could still smell my scent. I thought I covered it well.

I watched as they proceeded to trace my footsteps as they stopped dead at the tree. Damn. I forgot to cover them in my haste to hide. I thinned myself against the branch as well as I could and held my hand to my face. I had no one to keep me calm. They started to examine how to climb the tree when I slowly began untying myself. Examining the best tree to jump to next.

I slowly stood up, put my rope back around my shoulder, and leaped for the next tree. I somehow managed to land without making too much noise. Just angering a napping owl. I stood against the trunk where I landed, watching them climb to where I was just sitting. Frustrated they climbed down and trotted off.

Once I could no longer see or hear them, I sat back down, tying myself to the tree. Breathing in and out, I just wished my wolf was with me. I have never met her. I closed my eyes to try and get some rest when I heard deep growls from below me. Staying silent, I peered towards the forest floor.

As soon as I did, I regretted it. I was met with dark brown eyes in the form of a wolf who smirked once he realized that I was caught. I quickly untied myself and just ditched the rope.

I quickly turned around on the tree and proceeded to leap to the next one, closely watching the wolf that was following me. I leaped more and more until I missed.

I managed to grab a limb and as I attempted to hoist myself back up, I heard a deathly sound. *snap* I looked over to the sound and realized I was about to plummet to my death. I didn't even care was probably the worst of it. I felt the rush of my air as my body plummeted to the ground. I didn't even feel hurt when I hit the ground. I managed to stand up and stand against the tree I fell from.

As soon as I heard the crunching of leaves, I got up and started running. With no wolf, I could not shift to gain the advantage. All of a sudden I could hear the thundering of what sounded like hundreds of paws.

When I lost my footing and crashed into the ground hitting my head on a rock. I knew it was over. I could feel them slow down and surround me like I was going to take down all of them with my injuries.

I felt one of them sneak over to me and sniff my neck. I jerked up and smacked it on the snout. "Get away from me!" it cocked its head to the side, looking like it was trying to laugh at me. It took its massive paw and pinned my head down to the ground. I heard others shift and slide silver handcuffs over my wrists.

It burned against my skin and I couldn't even muster a tear. "The Alpha is still away on business. So she is ours until he gets back." I heard many of them laugh and howl as they planned my torment. They took my things and tossed me over their shoulder. And they started the trek back to their lands.

"Shut up you stupid bitch!" he screamed in my face. Following by punching me in the jaw, sending me to the floor.

Kicking me in the stomach as I felt my ribs cracking. "p-please s-s-stop." I pleaded with him to stop. "Stop?! You want me to stop with this lesson? I stop this lesson when you stop breathing!" He screamed as he landed another blow to my stomach.

My body curled around his foot as I felt a rib crunch. I felt it pierce something because I started coughing up blood. "Lesson learned Achlys." I heard him turn on his heel, laughing to himself as the door shut behind him. So there I lay on my bedroom floor, on the blood-stained white carpet, wishing I would just die already.

I didn't have a wolf. I didn't have a mate. I didn't have a reason to live. Why won't Selene let me die already?! I curse her name before I let the black overcome my body.

I heard the loud squeal of the dungeon door as I was tossed to the ground like I was trash. "What about my things?!" I screamed at the horrible men who dragged me here. I was perfectly happy away from my pack before they brought me here. "They're ours until Alpha decides what to do with you and your junk." He winked and I couldn't help but growl at the hideous monster hidden behind those eyes.

He quickly opened the door and pinned me against the wall. I quickly got him back by spitting in his ugly eyes. "You'll pay for that bitch!" He screams as he punches me in the jaw. I simply chuckled. I had been through worse and there was no way this guy could break me.

I felt another jab to my face as my lip started bleeding. Smiling I looked up at the bastard. "You think you can break me? You punch like a two-year-old." I saw his eyes light on fire as I continued to jab at his manhood.

"You think I'm trying to break you with a couple of punches? If I want to break you I will take that innocence you are trying to protect." He cackled as he shoved his hand up my shirt. He watched my face but I couldn't help but laugh. "There is nothing you could do to me that has not already been done. If that is what you so desire, then it is yours." His face stunned he got purely angry and kneed me in the stomach. I fell to the floor in a fetal position as he proceeded to kick me more and more. I could feel more bones starting to break and pierce my skin as I screamed in howling pain.

When he decided his anger was done he delved one last kick into my back, causing me to spasm and shriek in pain as he slammed the door behind him, cackling as he ascended the stairs. Hot tears streamed down my cheeks as my body tried to accept the pain I had received. Once I gained enough strength I moved over to the corner of my cell with the silver no longer causing my wrists to burn.

I couldn't see them, so I assume my wrists' skin is completely gone. When looking at the ground in front of me I noticed the trail of blood that I created. I wasn't sure where the blood was coming from this time. Just that I had a strange copper taste in my mouth. When I coughed blood spurted from between my lips.

Maybe the Moon Goddess is finally letting me die. I put my head on my knees and listened as my body struggled to catch a breath. I finally felt myself drifting into sleep when I was picked up by my throat and pinned against the wall. I hissed as I felt the silver touch my back. My clothes must have been torn when I was being kicked.

"How close are you to breaking?" the new voice growled into my ear. Donning my best Joker grin, barely looking up through my long lashes into these evil eyes, "I will never break." I spit my blood into his face and instantly fell to the ground when he released me to wipe his face. "I like your spirit. But it won't last long in these dungeons." He chuckled back at me. "Who are you?" Feeling no power from him, the most he could be was a lowly captain, the way he was speaking makes me think he has done this before. "I'm the Alpha. Bow before me whore." I couldn't help but start cackling, it didn't last long as my sides felt like they were caving in.

"What are you laughing at?" He crossed his burly arms and arched his eyebrow. "You have absolutely zero power radiating off you. The Alpha of whatever pack this is would be radiating power. And according to your guards, the Alpha is away on business." He lowered his eyebrow and started growling before backhanding me, sending my head into the concrete wall.

The last thing I remember, before everything went dark, was the sound of a zipper.
