As the Dark One moved her hands over the orb, energy began to radiate outward. Its center changed shape once more, similar to an eye with a pinpoint pupil.
A mist like energy began to move upward, and with her hands, the Dark One began to manipulate this substance until it took shape.
There before us was avian-like creature.
"There," she said aloud.
"Whoa!" Marina said wide-eyed.
It moved and twitched like true fowl, preening itself.
"Now go," the Dark One said, ushering it upward.
It took off into the air, and in the blink of an eye, it vanished.
"Let's see what we can see," she said under her breath.
Her hands began to move around the orb, and a smoky haze appeared on the surface of the eye. An image revealed the blue sky and a grand expanse. The image seemed to move with an unnatural speed and as if it were coming from a bird's eye view.
The image appeared as if it were descending, and a structure came into view.
Moment by moment, it flew closer and became clearer.
"That's the castle," i shouted in realization and disbelief.
