Immediately, it struck me like a rampaging drake what had just taken place, "...What, do you want!?" I said, sitting back in the seat.
"Be at ease. I will not demand anything untoward. Your family, your kingdom, and its people and resources are safe. I trade fairly and honestly. It wouldn't do my reputation any good to take advantage of my client's desperation, im not a monster. You get something, and I get something," she said, trying calmly.
My eyes narrowed a bit. This was the situation that I was warned to avoid at all costs. Making a deal with a devil.
"However, there is not anything you can provide to me at the moment that I desire. You've already given it to me," she said, touching the orb.
My heart began to sink, "So you won't help me?" I asked.
"I never said that. What I want is something that only an honest and upstanding king can grant something that is worth more than its weight in gold and silver. A favor," she said.
