"Very well, after I found the note, I took several steps to secure the nation, deal with as many possible matters of concern, and left management in my mother's hands," i replied staring her directly in the eyes.

"And then what," she replied, leaning up against the improtu structure.

I then proceeded to recount our travels how we met the sage, the witch of blue roses, the dragon of the tower, and finally, the dark one.

While recounting the story, I glanced at Marina, who had been sitting quietly, in a formal posture, her eyes closed, and her head bowed. If i didn't know her any better, she would be the exemplar of the  noble knight.

"Yes, I did what I had to, to find you!" I shot back.

"What did you promise her.

"We gave her the orb we received from  Evrena to her," I replied.

Zhenya lowered her head and gave a sigh of relief.

"... but travel here, I made her a promise; one wish within my power to grant,"

"You promised what!?" She replied as her eyes went wide.

"You heard me," I said back.
