"Are we sure they won't be able to see us?" I ask as Ari parks the car.
"I've blanked the cameras, they'll see whatever happened last night at this time," Griffon reassures me, giving me a comforting smile.
"How much can we take?" Everett asks with an evil grin, wiggling his eyebrows at me.
"Go crazy," I smirk, getting out of the car behind him.
I look to see Gabriel park his van beside us, getting out and slamming the door shut.
We decided tonight to raid the De Santis' newest estate, just to have some fun really. Griffon managed to get into their cameras and saw that they'd already started storing weapons and shit here so it's basically a free for all.
It won't affect them too much, just enough to realise that someone's fucking with them. Just enough to take Vincenzo down a peg, considering how smug he was when he bought the damn place.
"Alright let's get going," Gabriel smirks, turning and walking through the carpark at the front of the estate, the rest of us following behind him.
I watch in fascination as he walks through to the side of the property, through the bushes lining it as he crouches beside a tap.
I don't take my eyes off him as he carefully removes the tap head, revealing an object appearing to be a handle.
"He was one crafty fucker," Ari murmurs, "Where did he learn this shit?"
"He worked with a man who was in the FBI who worked in child trafficking cases. This was a method the traffickers would use to have secret entrances to the rooms where they'd keep the children," Gabriel says in a low voice, pushing the handle before turning it, some of the boards on the house opening to reveal a staircase.
He puts the tap head back on and keeps the r door open, motioning for Ari to walk down, "I'll close it behind us," Gabriel says.
Ari nods and crouches down, stepping onto the first step, "There's enough room to stand up," he laughs in his gruff voice, and I smile as I hurriedly follow him.
The twins follow me and lights turn on as we go down further, revealing a corridor at the bottom of the steps, branching off into multiple others.
I turn as I hear a door shut, letting out a sigh of relief as I see Gabriel on the top step giving me a thumbs up.
"Keep going until you reach the end of this corridor and there'll be more steps leading up to a trapdoor, we'll enter the property through that," Gabriel calls out to Ari, who gives him a short nod.
"This is how every horror movie starts," Everett shudder behind me.
"You're one of the most prominent figures in the underworld, get your shit together," I say in a dry tone.
"Doesn't mean this shit isn't creepy as fuck," he retorts, and I roll my eyes at him.
"Watch your step guys," Ari suddenly calls out, walking up a few steps and reaching upwards to a handle on what appears to be a trapdoor.
He pushes it open and laughs, "Son of a bitch," he chuckles, walking up the stairs until he's standing in a room looking down at us.
He reaches his hand out for me and I accept, chuckling as he pulls me up.
I look around the room and see it filled with cardboard boxes, filed in rows throughout the entire room.
"They could use some styling," Everett mutters, his hands on his hips as he looks around.
"We'll help lighten the load for them," Griffon snickers, ripping open a box and taking out a sniper gun.
"Can't have too many of these can you?" he observes, closing an eye as he points it at the wall.
