Maxine's point of view

We were fast asleep in the cupboard when our aunt started banging on the door waking both so us up.  The space was suffocating as always but I already knew well enough that I needed to be more patient as I let out a long sigh. Soon we hear Dudley start running down the stairs only to start jumping on top of the stairs right where the cupboard was right below. "Wake up, Cousins! We're going to the zoo!" he shouted which made me lay back down out of exhaustion. Soon dust started to sprinkle on my face as Harry pulled me back up. "Come one Maxine".

Right when Harry was about to walk out Dudley had pushed Harry into me while shutting the door. As I end up losing my balance. That damn kid I swear sometimes I just want to beat the hell out of him.

We soon enter the kitchen/ dining where both our aunt and uncle wish a happy birthday to Dudley. They spoil him too much.

"Why don't you just cook the breakfast, and try not to burn anything." spoke our aunt while hugging Dudley. "Yes, Aunt Petunia." Harry and I spoke in unison. Regulus who was observing from a good distance shook his head in disappointment at our aunt. Our aunt covers Dudley as I and Harry only focus on serving breakfast. "Hurry up! Being my coffee big."
"Yes, Uncle Vernon" spoke Harry as I helped him with the coffee.

"You're basically working as a servant or house elf," spoke Regulus, and once again he left me confused. I don't even think elves exit. "I remember when I had a house elf. His name was Kreacher. I wonder how he's been" Regulus spoke once more but was in a daze as he started to sink back into the past.

"How many are there?" spoke Dudley about his gifts
"36. Counted them myself," responded Uncle Vernon.

36 is a lot of gifts makes me wish me and Harry could have that many. A sense of jealousy started to brew inside of me as I felt a cool breeze on my shoulder, "Don't." Regulus spoke softly as if he was reading my mind.

"36?! But last year... last year I had 37!" Dudley yelled making my ears hurt. I could see Harry shaking his head as he served the coffee. Dudley and Vernon end up going back in forth which I end up ignoring as I could feel my stomach growling in hunger.

Soon we left the house but before we boarded the car Vernon ended up giving me and Harry a warning
"Any funny business........" the rest I ignored as I knew what warning he would give. "And you. You better keep those sunglasses on and don't start being weird again." Uncle Vernon pointed at me the whole time he spoke. I rolled my eyes as I sighed in relief of finally getting inside of the car.

We were observing a snake as Dudley once again complained, "Make it move." "Move!" Uncle Vernon started tapping the window.
"Move!" Dudley started knocking on the glass.
"He's asleep!" Harry commented back.
The Dursley soon left as Harry started talking to the snake. Is he really talking to a snake... I looked back and forth at Harry and the snake. I don't understand... I looked at Regulus to see him focused on Harry in the snake. Soon Dudley notices the snake moving whole pushing Harry aside. I quickly hurry to pick him up. But all of a sudden the glass that kept the snake encaged disappeared making Dudley fall in. The snake leaves as I back away from the snake trying to pull Harry back with me. Soon the snake slithered away. "Are you alright Harry?" "Maxine did you hear the snake too." "What are you talking about Harry." he shook his head as our aunt and uncle panicked to see their son behind a cage. I laughed alongside Harry only for us to receive a stern look on Vernon.
Soon we were Locke in the cupboard.

As Dudley dressed up I could see Regulus shaking his head again and I could tell he didn't like his uniform. Regulus is usually quiet but when needed he is of great company.

Me and Harry went to go get the mail as our aunt had wanted only to find a letter for both of us. Harry gave the mail to our uncle until Dudley had snatched the letter we had received.
