Maxine's point of view

We boarded a train in where Harry started to read the Hogwarts letter and all the equipment needed. I had the urge to speak to Regulus about the things he had done as a wizard. I wanted to learn more but talking to myself would only make me look weirder. The good thing was that the sunglasses I wore were dark enough to not be seen as Hagrid and Harry spoke to each other. I looked around which might have been a great mistake. I could see something dark in the corner, a being that was dark enough to make me get goosebumps. "Don't look," Regulus spoke in a stern voice with arms crossed which made me look away quickly. But on the left side of me where a lady sat had a child clinging to her leg. Making me quickly look forward.  You would think I would be used to it but I haven't, their everywhere. Some of them had the darkest presence that frightened me and there were moments when I was caught and when I did get caught looking at them they would cling to me. And some had enough energy to harm even for a split moment. Luckily enough Regulus was able to save me from many moments. Although it isn't all bad there are some spirits that are kind and are very harmless.

Finally getting off the train we left walking as Harry continued with the list we needed to obtain. Hagrid soon led us to place which looked rather shady at first. We were stuck conversing as I looked away in hopes of moving on from this boring conversation.
"Bless my soul! It's Harry and Maxine Potter!"  the man spoke as we started waking being greeted by many people. I suddenly heard a voice call my name I looked in the direction of where the voice was coming from only to be blocked by Regulus. I looked at him to see him shaking his head which meant that it was another spirit.

"Harry and Maxine Potter. Can't tell you how pleased I am to meet you "

"Hello, Professor. I didn't see you there. Harry, Maxine, This is Professor Quirrell. He will be your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts."

"Nice to meet you." Harry extended his hand while I took a step back. Something about this guy was strange and he didn't seem like he was suited to be a dark arts type of teacher then again I wouldn't know what that was. The more that Harry and him discussed the more I wanted to leave already.

"Yes, well, must be going now. Lots to buy." As soon as Hagrid said that I quickly walked forward thankful to be away from that man.

"See, Harry, Maxine? You're both famous." We ended up walking through a door that appeared to be a dead end.

"But why are we famous, Hagrid?" spoke Harry as he looked at me first before looking at Hagrid while I nodded.

"I'm not sure I'm exactly the right person for you both, Harry, and Maxine." I turned to look at Regulus who gave me a look that told me that I would know all due time. Hagrid tapped the wall with his umbrella as the wall started to magically open before us.

"Welcome, Harry and Maxine to Diagon Alley. "

We walked forward to be crowded with many before as Hagrid where everything is. As we observed everything that. Everything was different compared to where we used to live. Even brooms were here. I lagged too focused paying attention to my surroundings when we finally arrived at what seemed like a bank and small little people in them.

"Hagrid, what exactly are these things?"
"They're goblins, Harry. Clever as they come goblins but not the most friendly of beasts. Best stay close."

We arrived at a goblin as they started to discuss with each other. "Make sure to stay near Hagrid Max." I turned to look at Regulus as I nodded. Soon we got the money we needed before making another stop where Hagrid took what seemed like a small bag before telling us not to tell a single person about it. Finally, we left the suffocating bank as we went shopping. Regulus was there helping me with what would be better to take with me.
