Maxine P.O.V.

Me and Harry have finally gotten our own rooms in the Dursley's house. Thank go for that especially when we have our own spaces. But of course, the Dursley family were stingy about letting my cat Prince roam around the house or even letting my cat have a single hair in the living and letting him anywhere near their dog Ripper which was extremely difficult to do so at night when everyone was asleep I would sneak outside with Prince. The moment I started sneaking out I became good at pic-locking doors although I didn't need to most of the time.

"Harry! Maxine!" Mr. Dursley yells out as I sigh. "You'll get scolded if you don't head down," Regulus says as I nod. There were a few times I would ignore Mr. Dursely our uncle but it seemed like he caught on. So there were no more excuses for ignoring him.
I go downstairs and I see Harry ahead of me as he opens the door Mrs Dursley is decorating a small cake and says, "He's in there. Vernon..." We both enter the living room to see Mr. Dursley helping his son get ready as he turns to give us a stern expression on his face, "In warning both of you. If you can't control that bloody bird and that bad luck of a cat, they'll both have to go." he says as I sigh. It's an animal it's supposed to take notice and do whatever the hell it wants. I decide to stay silent knowing fully well that he'll only protest. But Harry speaks up, "but she's bored. If I could only let her out for...an hour or two." "So you can send secret messages to your freaky little friends?"

"No sir. But I haven't had any messages. From any of my friends. Not one. All summer." I frown knowing fully well that the Dursleys must have done something to the letters. There was no way, not a single message didn't come from Ronald McDonald's. Yes, I decided to call Ron that from now on. Cause it's funny and why not? Although I highly doubt he would get the joke. "Who would want to be friends with you?" Dudley bumps both me and Harry, "Uhhh many people."  I Spoke back to Dudley as Mr Dursley glared at me.

"I should think you two would be a little more grateful. We've raised both of you since you two were a baby, given you the food off our table, Even let you have Dudley's second bedroom and guest-room, purely out of the goodness of our hearts." Mr. Dursley speaks as if we should be great full although it would be nice if he let us do a little more. Mrs. Dursley slaps Dudley gently away from the cake, "not now, bobbins. It's for when the Masons arrive." "Which should be any minute. Now, let's go over our schedule once again, shall we? Petunia, when the Masons arrive, you will be...?"

"In the lounge, waiting to welcome them graciously to our home." "Good. And, you Dudley, you will be..." "I'll be waiting to open the door." "Excellent." Mr Dursley says as he turns to both me and Harry. "And the both of you?" "Both me and Max, will be in our  bedrooms, making no noise and pretending that we don't exist." Responds Harry before I can even say anything as he knows I'll say something that will make them angry. "Too right, you will. With any luck, this could well be the day I make the biggest deal of my career, and you two will not mess it up." Me and Harry look at each other as we look back at Mr. Dursley who once again gives a stern look on his face.

I went to my room but before I did I heard laughter in Harry's as I walked backward to see what it was only for me and Harry to look at each other. Looks full of concern that the Dursleys might hear the noise and scold us. "Harry and Maxine Potter...such an honor it is." The small creature with a big ear says as we both enter Harry's room. "Who are you?" "What are you?"  Me and Harry say faces filled with confusion. "Dobby, sir, miss. Dobby the house-elf." "A house-elf?" I say confused once again as he nods again. "Not to be rude or anything, but this isn't a good time go us to have a house elf in my bedroom." Says Harry. "Yes, sir, Dobby understands. It's just Dobby has come to tell you something... it is difficult, sir. Dobby wonders where to begin."

"Why don't you take a seat," I say looking at Dobby who is still standing in the bed. "S-sit down?" Dobby fell down and bursted into tears which frightened me as I stared at Harry. "Dobby I'm sorry but can you be quiet? I didn't mean to offend you. " I say while Harry says"Shush." To Bobby.  "Offend Dobby? Dobby has heard of both of your greatness, sir, miss. But never has he been asked to sit down by a wizard...like an equal." He says as I look at him in pity. "You can't have met many decent wizards, then." Speaks Harry as I quickly nod in agreement. "Like Harry said maybe you haven't met the right one." "No, I haven't. That was an awful thing to say. Bad Dobby!" Dobby suddenly begins to bang his head on Harry's wooden dresser making me panic. "Stop. Dobby." "Stop, Dobby! Please, Dobby stop." Both me and Harry say as we attempt to stop Dobby. "If you make any more noise we'll get in trouble," I say as Dobby stops. "Are you all right?" Harry's voice filled with concern and worry for Dobby.
