January progressed like January does; deathly slow. It was now the 8th, and I was finally back in lectures, but I don't think I'd taken in one word of what the lecturer had been saying. I think I was in a Queer Literature lesson, but my eyes were too busy looking down at the front row where Holly was giggling with a girl I had never seen before but they were looking very very cosy. She was never cosy with me when we were dating so having her all over someone else, makes it look like she's trying to do this to get to me. Rolling my eyes, I flicked my attention back to the photo album on my laptop of Lizzie and me over the Christmas and new years period. When I finally snapped back to reality, everyone was packing up their bags, so I followed through, yawning as I did. I watched as Holly's hand linked with the girl she had been talking to throughout the lecture. Quickly running out of the room, I pulled out my phone and rang Lizzie's number, knowing she didn't have any lectures today.

"Hey darling," she spoke into the line, "how was your lecture?"

"Holly was all over some random girl," I told her, walking into the coffee shop.

"She's single now, isn't she?" Liz asked.

I hummed a yes, "but she was literally all over her."

"Why does it matter?" she asked.

"Because it's disturbing," I replied quickly, "no one needs to see that in the middle of a lecture."

"You sound jealous," Liz decided.

"I'm not jealous, it's just-"

"Babe, are you trying to piss me off? Why the fuck does it matter?" she repeated.

I furrowed my brows and took my coffee, sitting down and thinking for a moment, "what-"

"How do you think it makes me feel when my girlfriend is constantly worried about what her ex is doing?" she asked.

"You're overreacting," I sighed.

"Am I? Because I feel like shit babe. I don't care what Holly's doing and neither should you," she replied.

"Oh my god, I can't believe you're making this an issue," I exhaled, "we've never argued and now you're creating something out of nothing? I love you Lizzie, I don't care what Holly's doing, I just wanted to tell you because it upset me."

"Imagine if the roles were reversed," she raised, "what if I was hung up over Boyd? You weren't even happy that we were friends, let alone that we dated!"

"Fucking hell," I muttered, "maybe if you weren't such an anxious mess, we wouldn't have a fucking problem."

She hummed down the phone and thought for a moment, as I slowly regretted the words that left my mouth.

"Liz-"

"Fuck you Y/N," she spat, hanging up the phone.

I sighed dramatically and smashed my phone down on the table in from of me, running my hands through my hair.

"Are you okay?" someone asked on the table next to me.

I nodded and turned to face the brunette looking over at me.

"I'm okay," I sighed.

She smiled slowly and nodded, holding her hand out, "I'm Chloe."

I shook her hand and sat back in my chair, "Y/N."

"You sure you're okay?" she asked again.

"I'll be alright, I just had my first argument with my girlfriend," I explained.

"How long have you been with her? If you don't mind me asking," she replied.

"Four months," I told her, "she's indirectly claiming that I'm not over my ex."
