Take me beyond the stars
I want to journey oh so far
This isn't my true home
It's not where I truly roam
I believe my place lies somewhere better
Where happiness lasts, light as a feather
No sorrow, no grief to sow
Only joy and bliss shall grow
I long for you, Dad, my guiding star
I wish I were with you, no matter how far
Look at me, papa, look and see
Because of you, I am truly free
I promised to make you proud
Fought and battled, the promise allowed
Soon in a new zone, a different yet true
Not afraid nor alone, with courage anew
God is with me
Dad and Mom are with me
Forever to be
You raised me to be who I am
So one day you'll set me free, a destined liberation
In this cruel world, I'll continue to fight
Meeting people, learning, and exploring new destinations
I'll do what you taught me to do
You live in me, a connection true
I'll keep fighting and improve each day
One day, I'll make my kids smile and say,
"How great were Grandpa and Grandma, it's true."
