I met you
And you showed me around
Where the Legos were
And where the crafts were
And where my desk wasI wish I could go back to those early moments
When we were pure innocence
And I wish i would have known(Although it would have surprised me),
That I would end up falling in love with
The little girl that stood before me.I wish I would have known better
I wish I would have known what I do now.I wish I was still the little girl that I was
And I could stare into your eyes
And become lost in their world
Brown like earth, soil, sand. But now when I look into those eyes
All I see is the girl I loved that never did love me back. All I see is hatred, all I see is a
ruined, quaked version of the soil and earth and sand that I used to watch in awe.I wish I could go back and prevent you
From making the mistakes that you did
And prevent myself
From making the mistakes that I did.But in that moment
I smiled at you with the brightest smile in the world
As you showed me around our little grade one classroom
And as I fell in love with you for the first time.
