Dim Light.

Kenny quietly watches moths fly around the cracked and dim light bulb hanging from the ceiling as he felt a burning in his throat.

He was already overheating in his coat.
But it wasn't worth the risk of taking it off.
After all, tomorrow would be a snow day.
He didn't wanna fall asleep without his coat and wake up freezing, right?

His train of thought broke as blood-soaked flowers forced their way out of Kenny's throat.
He quickly pulled his hood down to cough them up.
Jesus, there were even small clots of blood stuck to the petals of the flowers.

Wait.
Flowers?
Wasn't it just petals before?

It didn't matter.
It wad getting worse.
Why was it getting worse?
It should be getting better!

Or maybe, he's cured, and the flowers are simply exiting his system. How else are they gonna get out, disintegration?

He had almost, and technically had, kissed Butters earlier. There's no heterosexual and platonic explanation for that.

Kenny takes off his coat.
Then his pants.
He jumps off his bed and opens his closet. He opens a drawer.

A purple bodysuit.
A purple hooded cape.
A pair of green gloves.
A pair of matching green boots.
A belt.
A black mask.
And an extra pair of underwear.
He put them all on.

He slipped into the bodysuit.
He pushed his legs through the pair of underwear.
He buckled the belt around his hips.
He tied the back of the mask as be placed it on the top half of his skinny face.
Kenny put on his hood.
Then his boots.
And finally, those raggedy sage green gloves.

What a treat.
Mysterion was back.
You could even say Mysterion had risen again.

Mysterion bolted towards his window, swiftly opening it before leaping out.

He landed on the ground, rolling as to not kill himself just yet.
Actually, it was pretty funky how Kenny hadn't died these past 2 weeks.
He didn't mind, though.
He ran towards the path to the regular houses. They weren't old and uncared for like his own. And they also didn't have abandoned sodo-fucking-sopas on top of and around them!
Kenny felt jealous.
He wouldn't mind as much that he was poor if it weren't for Karen.
She deserved the best, if Kenny were to describe it.
She's too sweet and pure for this disgusting and destroyed world.

Mysterion ran down the street, climbing up the fence between Cartman and Butters' houses before latching onto Butters' window frame.

He knocked on the window.
Tap, tap, tap.

"Hm?"
Butters paused his episode of Hello Kitty and Friends Supercute Adventures and ran to the window. He fumbled to open it.

"Well heya there, Mysterion!"
He waves politely.

"Butters. Do you remember who I am?"
Mysterion asked in a faked gravelly voice.

Butters thought for a moment, his eyes searching Mysterion.
"Nope!"
He smiled innocently.

Mysterion nodded and jumped inside through the now open window.
"Good. Because I need to tell you something and I don't want to ruin your opinion of me."
He speaks confidently at first, but his voice eventually goes weak.

Butters stands there in confusion, and an awkward silence looms over the both of them.

"Butters... I..."

"Mysterion-"

They speak at the same time.

"Y-You go first, Butters."

"No, no, no. You go."

Another silence.

"Okay- DAMMIT!"

They both speak at the same time again.

Another silence, before Butters speaks up.

"Go on, Mystie."

The weird yet sweet nickname brings a smile to Mysterion's half-covered face.

"Butters. I love you more than anything. It hurts. I know you don't really remember who 'Mysterion' is but I needed to tell you. My heart physically aches to see you, to hear your voice. I love you. I really fucking do."
Mysterion coughs a little as he tries to catch his breath after saying that.

He stares at Butters hopefully.

"Well I think you're great too, Mysterion!"
Butters smiles.
Holy shit.

He's fucking stupid.
That's an understatement.
Just genuinely brainless.
Head empty, only silly cat show.

Mysterion starts to talk again.
"No, Butters, I meant- Fuck, nevermind."
He turns away, and back to the window.

"Goodbye."

He jumps out the window quickly and climbs back down the brick wall and wooden fence clumsily before landing in a roll on the floor and running away down the street to his house again.

That's when Mysterion realises.

He can't breathe.
