A weird feeling unsettles you on the first night on your way back home. You're more alarmed than usual even when the sun is embracing you like a shield the following day. Time and again you peer over your shoulder to find nothing but dark wood. You can't sleep by daylight somehow. Something makes you wake up and sit straight like a needle over and over again.

Sweat drenches your uniform by the time you give up on sleeping. However your hands and feet are cold. Fatigued you slender through fields, forests and towns. The things happening around you are foggy. Plus there's this feeling as if you were constantly being watched; followed.
Even by daylight.

If it were a demon you would already be dead. If it were a human you could see it.

You blame your need for a break. You blame everything that has happened to you in the last month for it.

There's no being that follows you. No being that is able to unsettle you and your sleep like this. Your eyelids are so heavy you wonder how they still manage to stay open. However as soon as you try to sleep in the strange feeling creeps along your skin and into your dreams where it shakes you awake. Almost as if the air around you was poisoned.

On the sixth day you are as slow as an old woman. People begin to stare at you. They talk to you but you can't grasp the words.
A coldness different from the one Akaza radiates clings to your bones. You switched to your Total Concentration Breathing because you kinda feel threatened. It's as if a fog is shackled to your mind not allowing you to think clearly.
Nevertheless you keep walking. Keep heading to the direction of your safety. The sun helps you fight the cold in your body but the nights feel like the deepest winter.

At some point in the middle of the night the moist ground suddenly comes too close to you. The trees around you arch over you and their crowns gaze down at you. They are high, high above you. Your back meets a warm, wet ground and your eyes blink at the starry sky.
You breathe in.
Cicadas again. They are loud at your ear as if they were sitting in them.

Why are you laying in the forest?
When did you get here? And how?
What day is it?
Why do you suddenly feel no pain at all?

You try to move but your limbs are too cold. Although it should alarm you you accept it.
Is this real?
You try to remember how you got here but your mind is blank.
Is this a dream?
This kind of fucked up stuff happens in dreams.

Steps are audible but your head doesn't listen to you as you try to peer at the owner of them.

A chuckle. Then a sneer.
A head appears in your field of view. Platin blonde hair frames it.
A pair of rainbow eyes twinkles at you.

This has to be a dream if you start seeing rainbows in eyes.
It takes you a moment too long to realize that someone is actually looking at you and standing right next to you.

You try to speak but your tongue is heavy as a stone. All you can do is watch the grimace smile and reveal pointed teeth covered in saliva.
"Surprised?", the demon asks with a kind voice. It doesn't sound threatening at all.
It's the type of voice that promises sweets and lures children to its owner. A voice covered in honey and silk.

You just stare while fighting against the sleep daring to crash down on you. Now that you need it the least.

Should you know that demon?
Something is etched into its eyes but you're too exhausted to decipher it.

"Oh I forgot that you can't speak in your state", it laughs and grins down on you.
"You're probably wondering why you're in this condition. I'll be so selfless and explain it to you. It won't help you though, hihi."
