"Miss Fabray, thank you for coming in." Principal Figgins began. "Have a seat."
Quinn sat down across from her principal and looked at him.
"How many kids are in the glee club?" Principal Figgins asked.
"What?" Quinn wondered.
"Coach Sylvester said you need a certain number to compete." Principal Figgins noted. "How many are there?"
"Twelve." Quinn answered. "Which is how many we need to compete. Should Mr. Schue be here for this? Or Finn? He's one of our co-captains."
"This meeting isn't about glee club." Principal Figgins clarified. "It's about you."
Quinn furrowed her eyebrow.
"We've been reviewing your... situation, and we want to recommend your transfer to another school." Principal Figgins began.
"What?" Quinn asked. "Why?"
"Well, this is a small town." Principal Figgins noted. "And we want McKinley to uphold its high standards. We don't want to applaud teen pregnancy."
"So you're saying I'm making the school look bad because I'm pregnant?" Quinn wondered.
"Miss Fabray, it's-"
"How will it look if the school gets rid of the pregnant girl?" Quinn interrupted. "And refuses to help her further her education?"
"Miss Fabray, we would hope you would go on your own. This would be in everyone's best interest." Principal Figgins insisted.
"No." Quinn shook her head as she got up. She stormed out of the principal's office, running into Finn in the hall.
"Hey, hey, why are you crying?" Finn asked Quinn.
"They're trying to make me transfer." Quinn sobbed as Finn pulled her into his arms to comfort her. "So I don't ruin the school's reputation."
"They can't do that." Finn said. "Can they?"
Quinn shrugged as she pulled away.
"Let's go talk to Mr. Schue." Finn suggested. "He'll know what to do."
Quinn nodded and wiped her eyes as Finn took her hand and led her away from the principal's office.
The pair headed to the choir room where they found their teacher.
Finn led the way inside. "Mr. Schue, you got a sec?"
"Hey, Finn." Mr. Schue said. "Quinn? Everything okay?"
"Principal Figgins is trying to kick Quinn out of school." Finn answered.
Mr. Schue furrowed his eyebrow. "What?"
"He told her she's making the school look bad and she should transfer." Finn added.
"Why don't you two come sit down?" Mr. Schue suggested. "I'm gonna ask Miss Pillsbury to join us."
-
"Principal Figgins can't force you out of school." Miss Pillsbury assured Quinn. "And actually, since your grades and extracurriculars are above average, if he does anything, it's grounds for a lawsuit."
"I don't care about a lawsuit." Quinn clarified.
"If we sue and we win, we can put some money aside for the baby." Finn said softly.
"I already told you I'm not keeping it." Quinn snapped.
"So I really don't get a say in this? At all?" Finn questioned Quinn.
"Right now, all I care about is my education." Quinn stated, looking at Mr. Schue and Miss Pillsbury. "You basically said I can't be forced out of here, right?"
"Right." Miss Pillsbury nodded. "But-"
"Thank you for your time." Quinn said, taking a deep breath as she got up and left the room.
-
Quinn skipped glee club after school. Since she was living at the Hudson house, she had to wait for Finn anyway, so she decided to do homework in the library.
"Quinn."
Quinn looked up from her books at Puck, surprised to see he wasn't at glee rehearsal.
"What are you doing here?" Quinn asked.
"I wanna talk to you." Puck said.
"No, I mean in the library." Quinn clarified. "I don't think I've ever seen you in here before."
"Funny." Puck noted as he stood across from Quinn. "Finn told everybody what Principal Figgins said."
"So?" Quinn asked.
"So I wanted to make sure you're not gonna leave this place." Puck added.
"Why?" Quinn wondered.
Puck gave her a look.
"I already told you I'm not doing this with you." Quinn reminded Puck. "I can't trust you, and-"
"You can." Puck interrupted. "Just give me a chance."
"I gave you a chance." Quinn reminded Puck. "When we were babysitting."
"I didn't know you were testing me." Puck stated.
"That was the point." Quinn said. "Look, I know that you think you wanna be a part of this."
"I do." Puck insisted.
"And maybe you do right now." Quinn continued. "But you're gonna get bored, or something, and I know what it's like to lose my father. And I don't want that for my kid."
"Our kid." Puck corrected Quinn.
"Go away, Noah." Quinn commanded. "I don't want Finn to see us talking."
"You know he's gonna find out eventually." Puck warned Quinn.
"He won't if you keep your mouth shut and leave me alone." Quinn replied.
"I can help you." Puck offered. "I can pay the doctor's bills and-"
"A sonogram costs three hundred dollars." Quinn interrupted Puck. "You don't have that kind of money."
"I can get it." Puck swore.
"No." Quinn shook her head. "I'm doing this with Finn and I'm not taking money from you."
"Finn's dumb, but he's not that dumb." Puck noted. "He's gonna find out eventually."
"No he's not." Quinn insisted.
"What if the baby looks like me?" Puck wondered.
"She won't." Quinn shook her head.
"What if she has my personality?" Puck went on.
"I pray that she doesn't." Quinn replied.
"Why?" Puck questioned Quinn. "I thought you weren't keeping her."
Quinn didn't say anything.
"Don't leave McKinley." Puck said.
"I'm not." Quinn promised.
"Good, so when you change your mind about Finn, call me." Puck requested before walking away.
