Puck opened his front door, his eyes widening at the sight of the brunette in front of him.

"I know this might sound crazy, but my name is-"

"Beth." Puck cut her off with a nod. "Holy shit, I can't believe you're here."

"Yeah, I probably should've called first." Beth muttered. "Sorry."

"No, it's good." Puck promised. "Did you come here on your own? Where's your mom?"

Beth bit her lip.

"Wanna come inside?" Puck offered.

"Are you sure?" Beth asked. "I don't wanna bother you if you're in the middle of something."

"I'm not." Puck responded. "Come in."

Beth nodded and entered the mansion.

Puck closed the front door and turned to Beth. "I'm gonna grab a drink. You want something? Soda? Water?"

"I'm fine." Beth told Puck.

"You can sit and make yourself comfy in here." Puck added, pointing to the living room. "I'll be right back."

"Okay."

Puck excused himself before walking to the kitchen and grabbing water bottles before returning to the living room. He handed one to Beth and looked at her.

"Thanks." Beth said, holding onto the water bottle.

Puck nodded and sat down. "So."

"So." Beth began nervously. "I've been looking for you for a long time."

"Yeah?" Puck asked.

"I figured out who my birth parents were when I was fourteen, but my mother forbid me from contacting you." Beth explained. "It didn't stop me from trying, but she always intercepted it."

Puck furrowed his eyebrows.

"It was easier to find you because I came across old photos." Beth continued. "But my mom always refused to tell me anything about you or Quinn."

"So Shelby doesn't know you're here." Puck concluded.

"She died a month ago." Beth informed Puck.

"I'm sorry." Puck apologized.

"Don't." Beth said. "She kept me from you and I wanna know why."

"Beth." Puck sighed.

"We can start with this: how long has it been since we've seen each other?" Beth questioned Puck.

"Fifteen years." Puck told her. "The last time I saw you was at Finn's funeral."

"Who's Finn?" Beth wondered.

"Finn." Puck said, and Beth just looked at him. "Hudson?"

Beth shook her head.

"He was my best friend." Puck informed Beth. "Rachel almost married him."

"I've never heard her talk about him." Beth stated. "How did he die?"

"Car accident when we were nineteen." Puck answered.

"I'm sorry." Beth frowned.

"He was a really good dude." Puck added. "After the funeral, I moved out here."

"And you stopped talking to Rachel." Beth finished. "Right?"

"I was in the car with him." Puck said. "And nobody ever said it, but it felt like it was my fault, or it should've been me instead."

"I'm sure no one wished that." Beth insisted.

"Rachel and I checked in on each other for a while after that, but once she started dating again, we stopped." Puck told Beth. "Everyone else kinda just got busy and moved on with their own lives."

"So do you talk to anyone from glee club?" Beth asked.

"Just Santana and Brittany." Puck answered.

"Why not Quinn?" Beth questioned Puck.

"We were kids when we had you, Beth." Puck reminded her.

"I know, but... why don't you talk to her?" Beth asked.

"We grew apart." Puck shrugged. "I always wanted to come here and be a rockstar, and she always wanted to settle down."

"Did she?" Beth wondered.

"Last I heard, she was engaged." Puck nodded.

"Can you call her or something?" Beth requested. "I wanna know everything."

"I don't have her number." Puck said, though he had Quinn's number memorized.

"Would Santana or Brittany have it?" Beth wondered. "I didn't wanna ask Rachel since she's so busy with everything with my mom."

"Yeah, you don't seem that bothered by it." Puck noted. "You okay?"

"I've been processing it." Beth nodded. "And this might sound horrible, but I feel free now."

Puck nodded back. "I get it."

"I wanna know everything." Beth repeated. "I wanna know about you and Quinn, about your parents and families, and about the pregnancy and the day I was born. I wanna know where I came from."

"I'll tell you as much as I can." Puck swore.

"Will you call Quinn?" Beth asked. "Please?"

Puck sighed. "You're not gonna let this go, are you?"

Beth shook her head.

"Fine, I'll call her." Puck gave in as he got up. "Give me a sec, okay?"

"Okay." Beth repeated happily.

Puck left the room and stepped out into the backyard as he dialed Quinn's phone number.

The phone rang a few times before the call was answered.

"Hello?"

It had been so long since Puck had heard her voice.

"Hello?"

"Quinn?" Puck said.

"Who is this?" Quinn asked. "Wait, Puck?"

"Y-Yeah." Puck stuttered nervously. "Sorry to bother you. I'm at home in L.A., and you'll never guess who showed up at my door."

"Noah, are you high or something?" Quinn questioned Puck.

"Beth's here."
