"Quinn, are you okay? What's wrong?"
"Everything." Quinn said softly.
"Everything?" Beth repeated. "Do you not like the party?"
"We kept it small like we promised." Brittany pointed out.
"It's not the party. It's this." Quinn noted.
Beth furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at Marley, Santana, and the other girls for help.
"Quinn, whatever it is, we can talk about it." Mercedes offered.
"Are you worried about having another baby?" Tina questioned Quinn.
"Do you want us to call Noah?" Rachel asked.
Quinn shook her head. "Definitely don't call Noah."
"Mom, you're freaking me out." Beth told Quinn as she took her hand. "Is this about you and Dad fighting?"
"No, I'm sorry, B." Quinn apologized. "I'm fine. Let me just get some air. I'm fine."
-
"Wanna tell me why you were freaking out in there?" Santana asked, entering the backyard a few minutes after Quinn. "If it's not about not getting along with Puck, I don't know what it could possibly be about."
"Noah and I are in a good place right now." Quinn said.
"Good." Santana nodded slowly.
"In the beginning of the pregnancy, he and I agreed that I would name the baby." Quinn began. "But no one ever talks about how hard naming a baby is. The name is supposed to sum up who they are. I mean, that's their entire identity."
"That's why we give them middle names." Santana pointed out. "Besides, your kids have good names."
"Noah named all of them." Quinn reminded Santana. She took a deep breath. "When I was a little girl, I used to think about my future husband and my future children, but when I got pregnant with Beth, none of my names felt right. I don't wanna screw this up."
"You're not gonna screw this up." Santana insisted. "Narrow it down to some names that you like, and then when you see her, you can pick one."
Quinn bit her lip.
"Does she feel like a certain name?" Santana wondered. "Did the other three feel like theirs?"
"Beth felt like hers because she was named before we even decided she'd be ours." Quinn explained. "And Hudson is like Finn. There were so many things with him that should've made his name obvious to me."
"What about Lucy?" Santana questioned Quinn.
"Noah came up with that." Quinn stated.
"You're gonna pick the best name for her." Santana promised. "And if not, she can always go by her middle name."
Quinn smiled slightly.
"Besides, you should be enjoying all of this because this might actually be the last Puckerman baby." Santana continued.
"She will be." Quinn insisted.
"We've heard that before." Santana teased. "You're sure this is just about the name? Because if it's something else, you can tell me."
"I'm sure." Quinn nodded at Santana as Beth came outside. "Thank you."
"Mom." Beth said. "Are you okay? I can call Dad if you want him."
"I'm okay."
