EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN

After I had my bath,I went to my wardrobe picked a peach coloured turtle-necked top to hide the mark and wore it with a matching black boyfriend trousers.

I went downstairs with the intension of telling mom and dad my problem but when I got down I met them both in the middle of a heated argument and I knew better than to speak to any of them cause that would automatically make them vent their anger on me.

I went up to my room feeling bad at how my plan failed woe fully but something they said which I heard while coming down to meet them got me confused. Dad was telling mom that I have come of age, I should know, that I might have started getting the signs and marks and i must meet him because that was the reason they moved here while mom was saying that I am still a child and that I may not be able to handle whatever they will tell me.

So, practically, I was the reason they were arguing. I don't understand my parents, what ever they want to talk to me about, they should just talk to me about it, besides I'm not a child anymore. I am turning 17 for crying out loud.

Just then my phone beeped and a message from Cherry came in, reminding me of my plan today with Cherry , to go shopping and get her some clothes for her sister's wedding

I forgot.

Taking one last look at myself at the mirror, I picked up my phone and headed downstairs.

"Where are you going "that was my dad, so overprotective

"I'm going to cherry's, I'll be helping her select some clothes for her sister's wedding "I replied

"Okay, but don't stay out late. Try to come back early enough we've something to discuss "he said not looking up from his phone

I kinda felt happy when he said that but scared on what exactly it is going to be about

"Okay, thanks dad"I said that and walked out of the door.

I decided not to take the car cause I knew Cherry was gonna have one

I arrived at Cherry's place in less than thirty minutes. The moment Cherry saw me she ran to me and gave me a hug.

"Rina, it's so nice to see you. You know at a point I thought you weren't going to come anymore "she pouted

"Of course Cherry, I'd always come. You of all people should know that"I said to her trying to sound angry and folding my arms at the same time

"Don't be angry, okay "she said touching my cheeks

"I was only joking with you, just wait a bit while I go dress up"she said rushing upstairs

About 10 minutes later she was done and we were ready to go

"Wait, where are your parents. I haven't seen nor heard since I came"I asked her looking around

"Nah, you see my dad is out on a business trip and my mom traveled to stay with her sister for some time. She explained.

"So you're the only one in this big house"I asked surprised at her courage

"And you don't feel scared at times or maybe feel lonely "I asked again

"Nope, just me and I don't feel scared. So quit the interrogation and come let's go before the mall gets busy and crowded"she answered while dragging me as she walked out of the house to her car

We reached the mall early enough and we started shopping.

Shopping with Cherry is real problem cause she just wants to buy everything. We shopped for about two hours and maybe thirty minutes

"Okay, its your turn. Pick any dress you like "Cherry said to me

"No thanks, I'm good"

"I'm serious,Rina you can't just inconvenience yourself and help go me shopping and at the end of the day I would not appreciate you. Okay, take this dress go try it on"she handed me a black dress and pretty high heels

I took them and went into the dressing room.

I came out looking so pretty

"You look amazing"Cherry said while smiling at me

"Turn around so I can admire you well"I turned around smiling still not remembering a vital point

"Katherine, what is this I am seeing"she asked with a hint of anger in her voice

That was when it hit me. I forgot I had a big mark at my shoulder

OMG

"Cherry, seriously I don't know. It just appeared there from nowhere. I can't really tell how it got there "I kinda sounded sorry

"Katherine, I can't believe this. You of all people.

"No no no no NOOOO"

And with that she walked out of the mall leaving behind the things she bought. At that time everyone at the mall turned and looked at me.

I felt so embarrassed

After standing at one spot for what seemed like ages, I gathered the bags containing the clothes and took them home with the intension of giving them back to her

When I got home, mom and dad were arguing again about the same issue ;about them telling me, mi been old enough. For what exactly

"WHAT IS ALL THIS. WHY IS MY LIFE SO MISERABLE. WHAT EXACTLY DID I DO WRONG. WHAT. I AM ASKING YOU GUYS. WHAT. HUH. I DON'T LIKE ANY OF THIS. IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU WANNA TELL ME THEN GO AHEAD AND TELL ME. STOP MAKING MY LIFE MORE MISERABLE. PLEEEAAASE"

I said all these screaming at the top of my voice and the moment I was done, I left the sitting room not giving any of them room to talk.

I stormed into my room and in my anger scattered the things on my table

"No no, not my necklace"I quickly reached down to pick it. It was precious to me even though I don't wear it all the time

"Wait a minute "

I turned around to view the mark at my shoulder. The pendant on the necklace looks like the mark at my shoulder but partially.

The shape of the mark seemed to incripted in the pendant and to my shoulder it was as if many pieces were missing to form the symbol on the necklace.

"Seriously, there is something strange about all these, I don't see why a mark would be appearing at my back and why it will be the symbol on the pendant that was given to me by my late grandma whom I didn't know "

"Hmm"

I just had my bath and went straight to bed but I could not sleep

"It's gonna be along night "I muttered to myself
