park encounters

Myrah's POV:

I sat on my bed covering my ears with my hands. I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't bare my parents fighting. Tears were dripping down my puffy red eyes. I want to leave. I jumped out of my window and started walking towards the park near my house.

As I reached the park I saw a boy. He had brown fluffy hair. I couldn't see much of his face because it was night time. The boy had a guitar and he sang a few songs. He had a voice of an angel! And the songs that he sang were pretty catchy.

I ran behind some playground equipment so that he wouldn't see me. As I was walking behind the equipment, I tripped over a twig.

"OWW DAMN IT!" I yelled and quickly covered my mouth scared that the boy would hear me.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" I heard the boy head to my direction where I tripped. Shit. I tried to get up and walk but it was impossible. I just sat there. With my knees curled up near my face. I started crying while I held my injured ankle.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine. I just tripped over a twig. I swear I'm not stalking you if you were wondering"

"Oh haha that's fine. Need some help?" He asked and held out a hand. I grabbed on to it and he quickly pulled me up. "Thanks for helping me"

"Did you hear me sing by any chance?"

"Haha yes I did. You were amazing by the way! I'm Myrah"

"Hi Myrah, I'm Shawn, Shawn Mendes"

"Pleasure to meet you Mr.Mendes"

"What are you doing here in the park at 10:45?"

"My parents were having a fight and I couldn't bare hearing them anymore so I just went here to clear my mind. What about you?"

"I just came out here for inspiration. I needed some ideas to write for my new song"

"You're a singer?! That's so cool!"

"Haha yep!"

"Well I know we just met but you seem like a cool girl so may I have your number?" I took his phone and added my number as his new contact.

FLASHFOWARD

"Myrah I don't know if you remember but this was where we first met. We've been best friends for more than 3 years and I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend?"

"Yes!" I said and he picked me up and spun me around "I love you so much Shawn"

"I love you too. And I will promise to always love you"
