It was a cloudy day in Pickering. The cold air blew your hair onto your wet face. Tears streaming down your cheeks from your red puffy eyes. Shawn was leaving on tour for 3 months. As soon as Shawn was done packing his belongings into the trunk of his car, he looked back at you. You ran up to him, embracing one last hug.
"I'm gonna miss you" you mumbled into Shawn's shoulder, still holding onto the hug.
"I know baby girl, I'll talk to you every night"
"But Shawn, texting or facetiming isn't the same as having your presence here with my everyday!"
"I know it might be difficult know but time will fly sooner than you think it will and eventually, I'll be back home" Shawn reassured
"Promise?"
"I promise."
