Rehaan.

Ayesha Agnihotri is the only woman who brought me to my knees, broke my ego into thousands of pieces and she was still not satisfied and to satisfy her demons I could tear myself apart without blinking twice

She has me wrapped around her little finger, all she has to do is look at me with those doe-eyes and I'll give her my life if she asks but not the answers to some of her questions and she's desperate to get them out of me.

Standing on my feet, I looked at myself for a good moment remembering her tears, her heart wrenching sobs and I was the sole reason behind her tears.

My jaw tightened and I stared at my wedding ring in my ring finger while I reminded myself that I married her not to keep her but to prevent her family history to repeat.

Varun Agnihotri, he was fierce and untamable. Like father like daughter. I smiled while my thoughts drifted to the time when I earned a jaw breaking punch from her. However, I would never want to let her go and she wouldn't.

Shaking my head, I tucked my shirt in my slacks and wore my blazer over my shirt and ran a hand on my tie to smoothen it. She's the only chaos I accepted in my life.

I walked out of the closet and searched for her everywhere which led me to my mother who was eating her breakfast

"Maa, did you see Ayesha somewhere?" I asked and she looked up blinking

"No, I thought she was with you." She replied and I rubbed a hand on my face. Damn it.

"Ok." I turned to leave but my mother's voice stopped me
"Rehaan, stay!" She exclaimed

"Maa, I don't want to eat-"
"Make sure Ayesha takes her medicine." She intruppted and my jaw dropped.

"Sure." I scowled taking the medicine from her and she chuckled kissing me on my forehead. She loves her so much. Ayesha is now the most favourite member of this home and I love this acceptance she got

I turned to take her purse, the file kept on it and her black coat from the couch. She must be in the driveway or garage.

I strode towards the garage and there she was leaning against her car with her eyes closed and I walked closer to her as if sensing me around her eyebrows furrowed and lips twitched before she opened her eyes

I took my sweet time analysing her outfit, a plain white saree while her hands had a few red bangles but at least less than before and the nuptial chain and sindoor became a part of her, she refuses to remove it.

Our eyes locked I stood just an inch away from her while she snatched her eyes away to my chest and blinked rapidly as if contemplating why I was here at the first place.

"You are heartless and savage."

Her words echoed in my ears and if I'll be honest I am aware of it, in fact I am selfish, unforgiving and what not. She doesn't deserve it yet she'll have to bear me at least till the time I make sure Sarang Mahtre and his father are behind the bars for a life time

"Shall we?" I asked passing her the things I collected from the couch and she hung her purse on her shoulder while her coat was hanging on her arm and she clutched the file closer to her chest with the same hand

"I cannot, Rajvansh. Not anymore." Her voice was low and timid while I felt confused till she lifted her eyes to meet mine. I saw nothing, no warmth, no adoration just lifeless they were. I feared this. Not just this.

"I want a divorce. No change in plan. You will get the papers-" I cannot stop her from leaving me but now is not the correct time. She's not going anywhere any time soon.
