"I think you both are correct. Both sides may be at fault." I said, interjecting in their argument.

"Says the man who has been devoted to his fiance fro the past three years." Osas said.

"Yeah. His lady hasn't even left him for money. Lucky you." Derek joined in.

"What are you guys saying?". Their eyes fixed on me.

"You don't have the right to comment on our argument since you don't know how it feels." Derek said.

"I don't understand."

"What he is saying is you can't really say anything concerning this argument since you don't get the feeling." Osas said.

You just said the same thing!!.

"That's what I just said Osas." Derek said.

"I put it in a different way for him to understand."

"I don't still understand."

Derek sighed." What I mean is you have a fiancee who has not left you for the past three years for a guy richer than you so you don't get the feeling."

"And you haven't cheated on her so you don't get the feeling if you do." Osas chirped in.

"Your fiance and you make a cute couple." Derek said.

I glanced at Osas but her face looked bland well she does know how to hide her emotions now or is this really how she feels.

"Tha-"

"Despite you not being madly in love with her she still sticks to you. Man I'm jealous." Derek cut in.

I had told him that I was not smitten over her but just felt like... An obligation or something.

"She clearly loves him." Osas said and there was nothing in her tone.

"Yeah..."Derek rose up beside me and headed to the couch Osas was sitting on her joined her. "... Unlike us who nobody loves us and whom to love." He had his arm around her and I felt my back stiffen.

Remove you arms!!!  My mind screamed.

"Maybe we are just destined to be lonely" Osas said.

"You both have lost it. " I say." Your clearly interested in Ruth and your presently dating Michael."

I didn't like saying the last part which pissed me.

They both laughed." Jeez relax. We are just playing." Derek said, as he threw his hands up in mock surrender. He glanced at Osas." And who is this Michael that Seyi is talking about." He faced me." How do you know him,?"

"Michael works in my company." I said.

"And his also my boyfriend." She didn't look sad admitting that.

"Is he more handsome than me?" Derek wrinkled his brows in a teasing way.

"Of course he is." She said in a playful tone as she showed him a picture from her phone.

After some seconds of looking at it he said," yeah your right. So how is he. Is he a good boyfriend someone you can... Marry." Surprisingly Derek had a serious look on his face.

And my interest in the topic increased.

"Well..." She slowly glanced at me. It felt like a minute our eyes held but it was just a second before she removed it.
 
... I think so. His quite the charm."

That's not what she said last night.

"Quite the charm?" I couldn't hold myself.

"Yeah. Like is obvious he cares for me and his pretty much a romantic person. Before I started dating him, he calls me every night before I sleep. He makes sure I'm that last person he talks to when he sleeps. One time we both fell asleep on the phone till the next morning..we go to have dinner every now then"

"What about now. Is he still a charm?" I asked, my eyes caught hers.

Derek only stared at me.

"Yeah." She said.

"But you said he was boring last night." My voice rose.

I was jealous of Micheal.

I  was angry that Michael wasn't treating her the right way.

Last night there was a tone she had when she said it. Disappointment, anger, sadness. All those that I couldn't stop thinking about.

"I was drunk. I didn't know what I was saying." Her voice rose too. She was probably getting mad.

"Drunk people tends to be truthful." I snapped.

"I don't remember anything from last night but if I had said that it's only because of how my date went last night and that's because of his work which has become more hectic ever since Mr Oyefeso here stepped into the office." And she was furious but that didn't change anything.

"Here you go making excuses for him. If he was interested in you his work won't come inbetween you both."

"Easy for you to say when they aren't accusing you for being in a fraudulent activity."

"Making excuses for him again." I said, " okay tell me, last night you couldn't sleep why call me and not your boyfriend?. You deserve so much better Osas."

"My hand slipped and I expect you not to answer and also you know nothing of me to decide whether I deserve so much better."

I rolled my eyes. " Yeah right."

"Instead of trying to judge my relationship try and mind your own. What's your business with I and Michael relationship. I know Michael more than you and I can confidently say I'm in love with him." Her lips were pressed together in annoyance.

And I felt my heart sink. It was a painful feeling, a feeling that I was quite familiar with when Jemima died but this was worse.

I couldn't say anything even if I tried to.

"Although I would love for this conversation to continue I'll have to say that's enough from both of you." Derek said.

"I'll be right back." Osas said as she rose and headed to another door. Her face

"What was that all about?" Derek inquired immediately she left the room.

"What are you talking about."

"You know exactly what I'm talking about Seyi. It's her relationship why the sudden in her relationship?"

"I'm just looking out for her."

"Looking out for her?. You barely know her and your looking out for her. Did she say she need looking out for. She says she's in love with this Mic-"

"She's not." I cut in.

"And how do you know that?".

"Last night when she talked about him she sounded -"

"Drunk. She sounded drunk. Tell me, since you've met Michael how do you see him?".

"He seemed Okay but-"

"Exactly. He seems Okay. I just suggest you should mind your own relationship and leave her to hers."

Derek is right. I should mind my business. If she loves him fine and if she doesn't still fine. I don't know her and I should try not to know her. I came here to set boundaries not to form relationship.

"Fine. Your right. I should mind my business.".

"Good."
