"What did the doctor say?". I asked my dad over the phone as I drove home.

"He said I just need to rest." He replied.

A month ago my dad had a heart attack and when they checked his heart out they found out his heart was failing.

Dad had made me promise not to tell Osas but I see no reason why not too and ever since that day I've been trying to convince dad to retire from work and rest but just as stubborn as ever he refused.

"Exactly. So listen to him and rest."

"But Osas-"

"What about her dad. She will understand. Your health matters."

I heard him release a weary sigh." Try and understand Ola."

"Understand what dad?.your heart is sick. You heard the doctor."

"I know Osas. She will take the news hard."

"And what about me?." I mused angrily.

"You unders-"

"That's the point. I understand so why not she?".

"How is work?". My dad asked. he didn't want to discuss the matter again.

"Some times I think you prefer Osas to me. She's adopted dad. I'm your own flesh and blood and I understand."

"Your young to under stand."

"I'm twenty five."

"Can we just forget about this topic for the mean time."

"Fine." I Said.

"So how are you doing?".

"I'm doing great except for the fact that my dad is sick but still doesn't want to rest."

"Ola..."

"Sorry. I'm doing good, work is fine, Rasaq is fine and Osas is doing pretty well." I snapped.

"I'll let you calm down. I'll call you later "

Before I could respond the other line disconnected.

I tossed my phone on the passengers seat.

I passed my house and drove to Osas. The gate man Opened the door.

Asta was barking loudly as he wagged his tail.

He must think I'm Osas.

I waved for the gateman to come." uhm.. please can you hold Asta as I leave. I'm a bit afraid of dogs."

The gate man smiled and took hold of Asta as I came down.

I gave him the key "madam will come back with another car " I informed him and left to my house.

On reaching home, my phone rang.

Osas.

"Hey." I said.

"Did you know why Rasaq got into a fight with Seyi?".

"What's with the question?."

"Just say yes or no it's as simple as that."

"No I didn't and why are you asking."

"Well your boyfriend of yours told Seyi about everything I told him and now Seyi is taking me as a person that loves to talk about people private life."

"How do you know that's what they talked about?"

"Seyi told me."

"Seyi told you?, Where?"
