10- cigarettes after sex

the next day, y/n entered the library during lunch time in search for a particular cheeky boy who needed tutoring. y/n couldn't find theodore despite searching the entire library- even the restricted section (after much convincing from the librarian)! she gave up with a tired sigh and walked around and decided to explore hogwarts since she had a free period next (which she was supposed to use it on tutoring). 

(first pov)

i dragged my feet across the halls of hogwarts when i passed the courtyard and saw theodore! he was smoking? out in the open? damn, he's brave. he was accompanied by another slytherin boy who i recognised as lorenzo berkshire. a real heartthrob he was. all of the slytherin boys were. lorenzo was probably the kindest out of all of them. i marched towards theodore and stood infront of him with my arms crossed and an eyebrow raised.

lorenzo nudged theodore and signalling his head towards y/n, making her presence known. theodore coughed and choked on smoke when he saw y/n. she looked angry but so- pretty? 

"hey y/n." theodore offered y/n a lazy grin and hastily put out his cigarette. "theodore, it's fine i won't report you for smoking. i doubt you care about being caught though." y/n said eyeing the now put out cigarette bud. theodore chuckled shyly and rubbed his nape, "well they said second hand smokers are effected more and well." lorenzo looked at his mate confused. after years of knowing him, he's never acted this way. but then again lorenzo did notice that y/n was extremely pretty and he'd be lying if he didn't admit he's had his eye on her for a while.

(first pov)

"theodore did you forget that we had a tutoring session together?" the boy beside him laughed when i asked a genuine question. "wow theo! didn't know you needed tutoring. by the way, i'm lorenzo but you can call me enzo." the boy, who i learned was named enzo, offered me his hand and i shook it. his hand was clammy and warm which i had to force myself not to cringe at. theodore scoffed and snarkily replied to his friend, "really enzo don't ya think it's a bit too soon? l'ho vista per prima. also y/n please just call me theo." i nodded at this and practically dragged him to the library- enzo trailing behind.

once we were situated, i already felt like leaving not even an hour in yet.

"theo what's in that flask and why are you getting dumber by the minute?"

"relax y/n it's just pumpkin juice." "it's definitely not pumpkin juice." "i know enzo!" 

i groaned and dragged a hand down my face when enzo and theo started to play with their erasers. even though enzo DID NOT need tutoring because he seemed quite competent on his own, he insisted on joining- claiming that he had nothing else to do. i got so irritated by their lack of concentration that i took their erasers away, which led them to a feet fight under the table. i deadpanned when i glanced under the table to see their foots entangled. enzo and theo both gave me sheepish grins. 

"you know what tutoring session over. goodbye boys, i'm done. theo i'll meet you next week same time." i said curtly packing my bags. i was about to leave when enzo grabbed my arm. i looked at his hand and raised an eyebrow. "do you want to hang out with us?" i was about to consider it but i remembered i had classes. "i can't skip classes." "yes you can. what's stopping you?" theo replied immediately. i hummed and feigned to be in thought when i already made my mind. "do you guys know a spot?" they shared a knowing look and nodded excitedly. 

i gasped at the view. they did know a spot. it was the roof of the astronomy tower. it took the boys a few tries of convincing to get me up there as i was certain they were plotting my murder but i'm up here and still alive.

the moon hung low in the night sky, casting a gentle silver glow over the courtyard below. theo, enzo, and y/n sat side by side on the rooftop, the distant sounds of the the animals in the forbidden forest nearby providing a serene backdrop to their quiet conversation. stars sparkled overhead as they passed a shared cigarette between them, the ember casting a warm, flickering light on their faces.

enzo leaned in, offering the cigarette to y/n. "you've got to try this brand. it's my personal favorite," he said with a playful smile.

y/n accepted the cigarette with a gracious nod, taking a deep drag before passing it back to theo. she exhaled a cloud of smoke that dissipated into the night air, her eyes locked with theo's. "thanks, enzo," she said, her voice soft and smoky. "this is surprisingly good."

theo smirked, his gaze lingering on y/n as he inhaled. "you have great taste in cigarettes," he replied, his fingers brushing against hers as he took the cigarette from her. their brief touch sent a tingle down y/n's spine.

enzo watched the subtle exchange between his two friends and couldn't help but grin. he leaned back against the rooftop ledge, content to play the role of the amused observer for now.

as the conversation flowed, the trio shared stories, dreams, and secrets. the night seemed to stretch endlessly, giving them the freedom to open up to one another in a way they never had before. theo and enzo listened intently to y/n's laughter, her stories painting vivid images of her life, her hopes, and her desires.

theo couldn't tear his eyes away from y/n. her laughter was like music to his ears, and the way she looked under the moonlight made his heart race. he wanted to reach out and touch her, to let her know just how much she meant to him.

enzo noticed the growing tension between his two friends and decided to give them a nudge. "you know," he said casually, "this rooftop has witnessed quite a few love stories over the years."

y/n glanced at enzo, then at theo, her cheeks tinged with a subtle blush. "is that so?"

"maybe it is. maybe it isn't." enzo replied cheekily while wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

as the night wore on, theo, enzo, and y/n continued to share their thoughts, their laughter, and their cigarettes, each moment bringing them closer together. on that rooftop, beneath the stars, a love story began to unfold, as timeless and beautiful as the night itself.

in the dimly lit hallway of hogwarts, enzo and theo walked alongside y/n, their steps echoing off the worn wooden floor. the night was thick with tension, and the flickering light from their wands cast shadows as they made their way back from a late-night smoking session. 

y/n walked between the two friends, feeling their eyes on her like a gentle caress. her heart had become a battlefield, torn between the warmth she felt for enzo and the spark she shared with theo. as they approached the common room, the air crackled with anticipation.

theo, on y/n's right, couldn't help but steal glances at her. her laughter was like music to his ears, and the way she looked under the dimly lit makeshift torches they made their wands into made his heart skip a beat. he had been harboring a growing affection for y/n for a long time, but he was afraid to confess it, afraid to risk she'd find him weird. enzo on y/n's left has not known her for long but he has noticed the way his mate talked about her. he also didn't fail to notice the longing stares theo gave her in the great hall and during classes. this made enzo notice y/n in the same way his friend did. he also noticed that she smelled like books and cinnamon, and that she had dimples she only tended to show her closest friends and that she was passionate about her family and loved ones. this made enzo conflicted knowing one of his closest friends had the same feeling towards y/n.

when we reached the doors to the common room we all stood around awkwardly until enzo piped up, "alright. we'll see you tomorrow then y/n! we don't want to keep you up." theo gave me a shy smile and was about to speak before enzo dragged him off. i chuckled to myself as i heard the distant protests from theo.

what a strange pair.
