As the weekend sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm, inviting glow across the room, Haesoo reclined on her couch, her phone in hand. It was a rare moment of leisure, and she had been looking forward to this quiet weekend afternoon.

She scrolled through her phone, her attention divided between social media updates, messages from friends, and the occasional article that caught her eye. But no matter how hard she tried to focus on her digital world, the memory of Joonseo's recent appearance at the school gate lingered in the back of her mind like an unwelcome shadow.

Haesoo's brows furrowed, and she let out a frustrated sigh, setting her phone aside for a moment. She couldn't help but wonder why Joonseo had resurfaced in her life, especially after their tumultuous history. It had been years since she had last seen him, and she had hoped that he had moved on.

She thought back to their past encounters, the hurtful words, and the pain he had caused her. It had taken immense strength and courage to leave that chapter behind and start anew at her current school, where she had found solace and support from Hyunjin and, until recently, Felix.

But Joonseo's reappearance had triggered a wave of unsettling emotions. Haesoo couldn't deny that the past still haunted her, even as she had worked hard to overcome it.

Just then, Haesoo's phone buzzed, and she saw Hyunjin's name flashing on the screen. She couldn't help but smile at the timing, appreciating how in tune he was with her emotions. With a soft chuckle, she tapped the screen to accept the call.

"Hey," she greeted him, her voice filled with warmth and relief.

"Hey, Haesoo," Hyunjin's voice came through the phone, equally warm. "I just want to make sure that you are okay."

Haesoo took a moment to collect her thoughts before replying. "Yeah, I'm okay. But.... Joonseo's sudden appearance has been on my mind. It brought back memories I thought I had left behind."

Hyunjin's understanding tone was immediate. "I get it, Haesoo. The past has a way of creeping up on us when we least expect it. But remember, you're not alone in this. I'm here for you."

Haesoo felt a sense of gratitude wash over her. Hyunjin's unwavering support meant the world to her. "Thank you, Hyunjin. Your presence in my life has been a source of strength, and I don't know what I'd do without you."

Hyunjin's voice softened. "We'll face whatever comes our way together, Haesoo. And if you ever want to talk more about this, I'm here to listen."

Haesoo nodded, even though Hyunjin couldn't see it through the phone. "I appreciate that, Hyunjin. For now, I think I just needed to hear your voice."

Hyunjin chuckled softly. "So, wanna hang out? It will be good to relax your mind."

Haesoo's heart warmed at Hyunjin's suggestion. She knew that spending time with him was one of the best ways to ease her mind and find solace in their connection.

"That sounds perfect," she replied, a genuine smile gracing her lips. "What do you have in mind?"

Hyunjin's voice held a hint of excitement as he shared his idea. "How about we go for a walk in the nearby park? It's a beautiful day outside, and some fresh air might do us both some good."

Haesoo loved the idea. Nature had always been a source of comfort for her, and she knew that a leisurely stroll with Hyunjin by her side would provide the perfect escape from her thoughts. "I'd love that, Hyunjin. Let's meet at the park in at 3PM?"

Hyunjin agreed, and they set a meeting time. After exchanging a few more words of reassurance, they ended the call.

As Haesoo got ready for their outing, she couldn't help but feel grateful for Hyunjin's presence in her life. His unwavering support and understanding had become a pillar of strength for her, and she knew that whatever challenges they faced, they would overcome them together.

As Haesoo entered the park, her eyes quickly found Hyunjin waiting for her. His smile was warm and reassuring, and the sight of him somehow made her heart skip a beat. It was a sensation she couldn't quite explain, but being in his presence always had a way of making her feel both comforted and elated.
