school has been taking up so much of my time i completely forgot abt writing this story 😭
— THE WEDDING CEREMONY
"Matthew, do you take Haerin as your lawful wife from this day forward, for the better or for the worse, for the richer or for the poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death does you part?"
"I do." Matthew flashed a smile to his soon-to-be wife
"Haerin, do you take Matthew as your lawful husband from this day forward, for the better or for the worse, for the richer or for the poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death does you part?"
"I do." Tears fell from Haerin's teary eyes.
"Are there any objections? Speak now or forever hold your peace." Silence filled the atmosphere as nobody dared to speak up.
"You may now— oh wait. AHEM. I forgot about the rings." The priest cleared his throat only to receive a glare from Matthew. He quickly mouthed "sorry" to the boy before speaking again. Small chuckles erupted from the guests.
The priest gestured to the ring bearer to give the rings to Haerin and Matthew. Soon after, the two exchanged rings, sliding them through their ring finger as they silently teared up in happiness. Once the priest made sure the two had their rings in their hands, he began to speak.
