𝑳𝑰𝑨 unfortunately had been right. As soon as she and Padmé left their chambers, they were surrounded by droids. Padmé looked like a handmaiden now, while Lia was dressed as the Queen. The droids escorted them to the throne room where a very pleased Nute and Rune were waiting for them. Lia narrowed her eyes at the Neimoidians as they began leading the prisoners down the stone steps of the palace.
"How will you explain this invasion to the Senate?" Bibble questioned
"The Queen and I will sign a treaty that will legitimize our occupation here. I have assurances it will be ratified by the Senate." Nute answered, seeming rather certain
"I will not co-operate." Lia stated
"Now, now, Your Highness. In time, the suffering of your people will persuade you to see our point of view." Nute stated
One of the droids stepped forward.
"Commander." Nute said
"Yes sir." The droid said
"Process them." Nute ordered, coldly
The droid turned to his captain.
"Captain, take them to Camp 4." The commander instructed
"Roger, roger." The captain said
The group was let out of the palace by the battle droids. Outside, Lia saw that the plaza was filled with tanks and battle droids, which they passed on the way to the detention camp. She stared ahead, blankly, feeling hope was lost. Suddenly, two men and a Gungan dropped down from the pillars above the archway the group was about to walk through. They took out their lightsabers and slashed through the battle droids with perfect unison, taking out the majority of the skinny robots with their sabers alone.
"We should leave the streets, Your Highness." The older Jedi suggested
Bibble placed a hand on Lia's back, moving her forward gently. The group stopped behind a pillar as the older Jedi looked at Lia.
"We're ambassadors for the Supreme Chancellor." The Jedi explained
"Your negotiations seemed to have failed, Ambassador." Bibble said
"The negotiations never took place. It's urgent that we make contact with the Republic." The Jedi said
"They've knocked out all our communications." Panaka explained
"Do you have transports?" The Jedi asked
"In the main hangar. This way." Panaka said
He stepped forward to lead everyone to the hanger, Lia and Bibble following close behind, the two Jedi right on their trail, finally followed by the handmaidens led by Padmé.

As soon as they arrived at the hangar, Captain Panaka cracked open a side door to the central hangar. Lia frowned when she saw several Naboo spacecrafts guarded by about fifty battle droids.
"There are too many of them." Panaka observed
He looked at the older Jedi.
"That won't be a problem." The Jedi replied
He turned to Lia.
"Your Highness, under the circumstances, I suggest you come to Coruscant with us." The Jedi said
"Thank you, Ambassador, but my place is with my people." Lia said
"They will kill you if you stay." The Jedi argued
"They wouldn't dare!" Sio exclaimed
"They need her to sign a treaty to make this invasion of theirs legal. They can't afford to kill her." Panaka added
"There is something else behind all this, Your Highness. There is no logic in the Federation's move here. My feelings tell me they will destroy you." The older Jedi said
A shiver went up Lia's spine but her face remained blank.
"Our only hope is for the Senate to side with us. Senator Palpatine will need your help." Bibble said
"Either choice presents great danger..." Lia started
She turned to look at her sister for guidance.
"To us all." Lia finished
"We are brave, Your Highness." Padmé replied
Lia understood her sister's cryptic message and turned back to the Jedi in front of her.
"If you are to leave, Your Highness, it must be now." The older Jedi said
"Then I will plead our case to the Senate." Lia said, firmly
She turned to face Bibble.
"Be careful, Governor." Lia said
Bibble stayed behind with two handmaidens as the group continued their way into the hangar. The Jedi led the decoy queen and the rest of her group, including the true queen, through the hanger and all the way to a group of battle droids in the center of the massive area, a transport sitting right there next to them, just waiting to be used.
"We'll need to free those pilots." Panaka said
He pointed to twenty guards, ground crew, and pilots held in a corner by eight battle droids.
"I'll deal with that." The other, and much younger, Jedi said
He quietly made his way to the back of the battle droids. The older Jedi stepped forward to the battle droid in charge of this specific squadron of droids.
"Halt!" The droid ordered
"I'm ambassador to the Supreme Chancellor, and I'm taking these people to Coruscant." The Jedi said
"Where are you taking them?" The droid asked, confused
"To Coruscant." The Jedi repeated
"Coruscant? Uh, that doesn't compute. Uh, wait! Uh, you're under arrest!" The droid exclaimed
The Jedi immediately pulled his glowing green lightsaber out, slashing the idiotic droid in front of him. The younger Jedi jumped out and kicked the two droids closest to him straight in the face, knocking the both of them out for good. As the two of them continued to slash the droids away into oblivion, Captain Panaka made sure the Queen and her handmaidens made it safely on board. He guided them all onto the transport by getting behind them, pushing them all lightly with his hand.
