Miss Mela: Hello everyone! Looks like our dashing and beautiful Freen is becoming a suspect for the police. Will the police discover the truth or will Freen get away with it? 🤞
After knocking on the door, Robert Armstrong's voice came from inside his office signaling Becky and Shen to come in. He already had his hand raised since he was on the phone.
Robert: Yes, Mr. Governor. I already have all of my best agents on the case... I will keep the media at bay, but that reporter, Anurak, will be difficult to manage... Becky and her father shared a look. Yes, sir. As soon as I have them in custody you will be my first call... Thank you, sir. Give the rest of your family my regards. He threw the cell phone on the desk, breathed out heavily, and caressed the side of his temple. Please tell me you have something.
Shen: Actually, I think we might have to add a suspect to our list. Becky cleared her throat.
Becky: This person might not even be a suspect. Lots of people keep spare keys close to their doors. Shen was about to answer back when they both heard Robert's fist hit the desk.
Robert: If you want to bicker, I suggest you do it outside of my office. If you don't have anything that can help solve this case, you're dismissed. He ruffled some papers and noticed that Shen hadn't moved even though Becky was almost out the door. Do you need anything else, Shen?
Shen: Sir, I sent you some footage from both the Jensen house and Chankimha Manor. I believe once you see it you will notice the same pattern that I'm starting to see. Robert opened up his email and saw both clips.
Robert: OK the Jensen clip gives me nothing. For years, The Artist has scrubbed evidence of him doing the crimes, so this clip means nothing. Wait a minute... He moved his face closer to the screen. Becky added to her list of reminders that her father needed new glasses. Ha! He knows Chankimha. He went straight for the key.
Shen: Not only that sir. After I saw both clips, I checked out the past robberies done by The Artist and I found a pattern. He stands up and places a folder in front of Robert. On all of the robberies, Freen Chankimha has attended the gallery. She was there at the Jensen House and she could have easily hired someone to do the robbery on her house.
Robert: What are you getting at Shen? Do you think Chankimha is The Artist?
Shen: It's either that or she knows who he is and she's helping him. Becky did not like the turn that the conversation took and frankly neither did I.🫤
Robert: I want you to place an escort on Freen Chankimha. Follow her day and night. I want to know everything. And if it turns out Chankimha is involved in this, I will personally do the arrest myself. He chuckled. Yes, Robert doesn't like the Chankimhas and I will explain why.
A few years back when he first became chief of police, Robert Armstrong and Michael Patterson had made a campaign to make Patterson the new governor of Bangkok. This plan was sabotaged by the Chankimhas. Saint and Charunee did a press conference offering all of their support, backed up by the royal families, to the current governor Chadchart Sittipunt. They said in the conference that Armstrong and Patterson only intended to dismiss Thai traditions and make everything more British. A little England in Thailand as Charunee said.
They went from having the most supported campaign to having nothing. In the blink of an eye, the Chankimhas ruined them and their plans. Patterson had large sums of money that he owed and without being able to pay them with his new position, The Origin made his death seem like a suicide, but Robert knew the truth. He always believed the Chankimhas were behind The Origin which only benefited the rich. Now with the opportunity of ruining the reputation of their precious daughter, the hope that Robert had almost lost was coming back.
Robert: Rebecca, I want you to stay vigilant. Forget the Jensens. We need to catch Chankimha in the act. I can feel it in my gut that she's a part of this. I don't care how you do it, but I need you to get enough evidence for Chankimha to go to jail for the rest of her life. You hear me? Becky nodded. Her mind and her heart were conflicted. She wanted to believe that Freen wasn't a part of this, but there was too much evidence pointing to her as a suspect.
She felt her phone vibrating in her pocket. Speak of the devil... She let the call ring until it went to voicemail. She looked at Koi who shared a look of concern. Becky nodded towards the gym and Koi understood immediately.
After she told Koi everything while putting on her gym outfit, she looked at her expectantly hoping that Koi would feel differently from Shen and her father.
Koi: Are you sure she's not a part of this? Becky hit the punching bag roughly.
Becca: I don't know! She threw a punch every time she finished a sentence. I've fought these feelings for a long time. I told myself 'She's a womanizer. Don't fall for her.' And what did I do? I let her kiss me! And not only that I want her to do it again. She hugs the punching bag while looking at Koi. I would let her fuck me into the next century, but apparently, she's helping The Artist or is The Artist. I don't even know anymore. She throws the last hard punch and falls backward on the floor starting to do sit-ups.
Koi: Do you think she's The Artist? What does your gut tell you?
Becca: I hope not, Koi, but my head and my heart are on opposite sides right now. I can't even trust my gut because it fills with butterflies just thinking about her. Koi lays down beside her.
Koi: Why don't you give her a chance first? Offer yourself as the personal escort and use it to your benefit. Becca looked at her confused. Get to know her! The real Freen, not the one that gets named sexiest bachelorette of the year. Get to know the woman behind all of that and if you don't like what you see then you know what to do. Don't be like Shen, don't judge her before even knowing her.
Hopefully, our dazzling Becca listens to Koi's very wise words. 😬
