Miss Mela: Flowers, a gift, a very expensive rooftop restaurant, and two gorgeous women ready to get to know each other up close and personal. What could possibly go wrong? 👀

Freen: Vertigo? That's impressive. She sighed contentedly. You never cease to amaze me, Rebecca. Hopefully tonight that feeling goes both ways. She finished flattening down her dress when Olga came into the room.
Olga: Wow. You look beautiful, Freen. Freen turned around smiling at Olga.
Freen: You think so, or should I change my dress? It's so last season.
Olga: Nonsense. Sounds like you want to impress this girl. What happened with Heidi?
Freen: She wasn't the one. Plus, you didn't like her, and your opinion means everything to me.
Olga: It's not that I didn't like her. She's fine, but you deserve someone who causes butterflies in your stomach and Ms. Heidi hates all insects. Freen laughed.
Freen: What do you think about Ms. Armstrong?
Olga: The lady cop? Freen nodded. Well, I haven't talked to her much, but the day you brought her here I saw that you were relaxed and light like you can be yourself when she's around and that earns more points with me than anything. Freen kissed her cheek.
Freen: Hopefully that feeling never goes away. It felt nice. They walked side by side downstairs. Don't wait up for me. After dinner, I have a surprise for Rebecca. Olga nodded. And lock the doors, please. Mark is staying here so if you need anything just call me.
Olga: I'll be fine. Now go. Don't keep that young lady waiting. Freen nodded and headed out the door.
After leaving enough food and water for BonBon to have for dinner, Becca waited for Koi and Dao to pick her up to go to the restaurant. It was 7:45 pm and they still hadn't arrived. She called them both a couple of times, but they didn't respond. She received a text from Dao saying they were outside. She left the kitchen light on for BonBon and turned off everything else.
Becca: I'll see you later, Bon. Maybe soon enough you'll have another parent. She headed downstairs quickly and got into the car. You're making me late for my first date with Freen Sarocha! What the hell happened?? Koi blushed as she looked at the road ahead.
Dao: We're so sorry. We were almost done getting ready when someone here spilled wine all over their dress, so she had to change and then I got distracted so things escalated a bit. 😳
Becca: Ew! You two are worse than bunnies, I swear. She messaged Freen.

When they got to the restaurant, a valet driver took the car, and they stood in front of the entrance. Becca looked through the crowd trying to spot Freen.
Becca: Have you seen her? Dao elbowed her side. What? She nodded towards the other side. When Becca finally got the message, she spotted the bright yellow sports car parked on the other side of the street and Freen Sarocha crossing the road in a beautiful blue dress. It only took a couple of seconds, but Becca watched the scene in slow motion. She swallowed hard when the tall woman was right in front of her.
Freen: Good evening, Rebecca. She kissed Becca's cheek who hadn't uttered a word. Dao Anurak, always a pleasure. She also kissed her cheek which caused Koi to tense up. And you must be Mrs. Anurak. Koi shook hands with Freen.
Koi: Koi Anurak, a pleasure to meet you.
Freen: Likewise. Her attention went back to Becca who was still speechless. I was right about the dress. You look marvelous, Rebecca.
Becca: Thank you. You couldn't tell because of the lighting but Becca was blushing profusely.
Freen: I have to say I am a bit disappointed that tonight won't be just the two of us, but it's always a pleasure to be accompanied by you, Dao. Dao giggled.
Dao: Sorry to disappoint you, but we are going out on a date of our own. Freen smiled.
Freen: Maybe next time we could double date. Becca snapped out of her trance.
Becca: Let's see how things go first. Freen nodded.
Freen: After you ladies.
Host: Good evening. Do you have a reservation for tonight?
Dao: Yes, under Dao Anurak. The host checked the list for her name.
Mr. Earp: I can't believe my eyes. Dao Anurak and Freen Chankimha at my restaurant on the same night. Buddha has favored me tonight. They all shook hands.
Freen: It's a pleasure to see you again, Mr. Earp. How's your wife and your daughters?
Mr. Earp: Michelle is around back getting ready to perform. Willa and Wynonna are off to college and little Waverly is staying at her girlfriend's house. How's your family? I saw something on TV about a robbery in your home. I'm so sorry.
Freen: It's okay, sir. The good thing is everyone is safe. Everything else is replaceable.
Mr. Earp: That is very true. He led them to their table. I won't keep you then. Enjoy your meals and if there's anything you need just ask.
Freen: Thank you!
Mr. Earp: Come along Mrs. Anurak. I reserved one of our best tables with the greatest view of the city for you and your wife. Dao and Koi smiled and followed the man to their table. Koi gave Becca a thumbs-up before getting lost in the crowd.
Becca: You're very well-known everywhere you go.
Freen: Perks of my last name, but Mr. Earp has been a friend of my family for years. He and his family go to the annual Chankimha Ball.
Becca: I've seen videos of the ball. Seems like a very elegant event. Why does your family do one every year?
Freen: Frankly my mom enjoys the attention. She gathers the media, her friends, and investors to remind them who the Chankimhas are and what power they hold. I just go because of the cocktail bar. She chuckled lightly.
Becca: You're not close with your family I see.
Freen: Not really. I'm a firm believer that family is not only the one you're born into but also the people you choose to have in your life every single day. The waiter came along with the menus.
Waiter: Would you like anything to drink? Freen looked at Becca.
Becca: A glass of Chardonnay for me.
Freen: Make that two.
Waiter: I'll be back with your drinks in a moment. They looked over the menu and when the waiter came back with the drinks, they ordered their dishes. Freen grabbed the glass of wine.
Freen: A toast to a night that we can always remember. They clinked their glasses.
