I am most certainly not clutching onto Thor's shoulder for dear life. (Well, attempting to more like it.) Because I definitely am not afraid of flying. Not at all because of Thor's rampaging when we were younger.

Not at all.

"Okay, who here hasn't been to space?" Raccoon asks, turning his head around as Captain Righteous, Agent Spider, and Stark's friend all raise their hand.

Ha, imagine.

"You better not throw up on my ship," Raccoon complains.

I agree, that would be quite messy.

"Approaching jump in three, two, one,"

A jump, what in the nine realms is a jump?

But before I have time to actually figure it out, we are throttled towards what looks to be a hole in space.

Erupting through the other side, my head spun. It wasn't too different from the Bifrost, it just seemed less advanced.

The Tesseract woman flies out of the ship, her body glowing a bright golden blue. "I'll head down for recon,"

I nodded gratefully even though nobody could see me. I despised Thanos but I needed to get on solid ground.

As she flew down towards the planet, I examine my brother next to me. How long had it been since we actually hugged? I suppose it was when he was lying over my corpse on the ship, and before that when I was bleeding out on Álfheim.

When was the last time we had actually shown each other affection when I wasn't dying?

I want to hug him, feel his warm embrace against my own old one. To have him hold me and whisper that he was my brother and we would always protect him.

But here we were, a one-way mirror. Watching as my brother descended into darkness I could only be a witness.

"This is gonna work, Steve," Romanoff spoke suddenly, watching as Rogers clicked something closed.

Rogers looked at her with somber eyes, "I know it will,"

"Because I don't know what I'm gonna do if it doesn't,"

What more could I lose?

The Tesseract woman flies up again to this ship, a look of confusion bright among her features, "No satellites. No ships. No armies. No ground defenses of any kind. It's just him,"

"And that's enough," Nebula whispers, my heart rate increasing rapidly.

Maybe on second thought, I can stay on the ship.
