"We need to talk, Damian."

Damian and I exchanged glances.

"Yes we do, Father."

Bruce's eyes quickly scanned our appearance. "Where were you? Did you get drenched in the rain?" he asks Damian and I. I just stand there awkwardly, looking at my feet. By looking at us, I knew Bruce had figured out we hadn't been drenched in the rain.

The fact that Oliver was there made things more awkward.

"No, I-" Damian paused to look at me. "I- we went to visit the beach today." he said, clearing his throat. "That's 3 hours worth a drive." Tim whispered, while Dick just wiggled his eyebrows.

"Did you swim there?" Chloe asked, genuinely curious. "Yeah." I breathed out. Once I spoke, everyone's attention was on me, and I regretted existing. "You don't have any luggage- oh!" Thea was the one who spoke, eyes widening in realization.

People who had realized what was going on, blushed in embarrassment, while me and Damian? We turned into goddamn tomatoes. "What's going on?" Oliver asked, glaring at Damian.

"Son, do you have anything to tell me?"

Bruce interrupted Oliver before he could ask what he wanted, turning completely toward Damian. Damian stayed silent. "Do you, Damian? Because it seems like there is a clear misunderstanding here." Oliver let out.

"It is not a misunderstanding." Damian blurted out.

Oliver narrowed his eyes at the brunette. "I mean-" Damian started, clearing his throat. "-it is not a misunderstanding. What you are thinking is true." he choked out, looking to me desperately for help.

"What do you mean?" Oliver asks, as I try to step in. "Dad-" "Quiet, Marinette. I want to hear it from him." Oliver says. I stared at him in confusion. It had been barely two days since we met, and he was ready to beat Damian up already?

Was this some kind of father instinct or something?

"There is no misunderstanding. I am dating your daughter, sir."

I gaped at Damian, open-mouthed, as I heard what came out of his mouth. "We did not agree on this." I whisper to him. "I did not expect this either, love." Damian whispered back to me.

"But, the sooner the better, right?" he whispers, making me smile. Jason scoffs. "Wait a second- wait a damn second." Jason says, walking up to Damian. "You're dating Pixie? My sister, pixie?" he asks, glaring at the brunette.

"Yes." Damian said, looking straight into Jason's eyes bravely, but I knew he was scared, seeing how he gulped in fear when he approached. Oliver did the same, walking toward the brunette and putting an arm over Jason's shoulder.

"How long has this been going on?" Oliver questions, as I just stand behind Damian, clutching his almost-dry shirt tightly. "Since her arrival?" Damian questioned himself, turning to look back at me, as I shake my head in confusion.

"Oh, really? So you've had your eye on my daughter from the beginning?" Oliver questions, tauntingly. "T-that is not what I meant, sir." Damian stuttered. "So you've had your eye on other girls?" Jason asked again.

"T-that is not what I meant either!"

Damian slowly began growing flustered as Jason and Oliver twisted his words over and over again. He became panicky, looking back at me each second to see my reaction.

I stifle a laugh after looking at his state. The great Damian Wayne had always looked so majestic and brave, but look at him now. Damian turned back to look at me once again. "Help, Angel." he whispers, eyes widening when he realized what he said.
